Mrs SD thank you for your faith in me, maybe more than I have in my decluttering skills.
Although I feel positive vibes as I put like with like and think how I want to clear the bottom half of my tall kitchen unit of crockery so.i can put the cordless hoover and a bucket which don't have a home. Will.mean clearing other space which will be challenging.
Went through under sink and found surplus stain remover and carpet cleaner - dropping off to dd1 tomorrow and also setting up box of things for her when her amd b/f move to bigger flat in the summee . Some receipts and paper recycled.

Thursday it rained late morning & is forecast to rain at 13:00 then from 17:00 to midnight. The forecast high is 9°C (feeling 5° colder due to ESE wind) & low 6°C I have written a 5 day menu plan & a shopping list. DH put most of the shopping away. I finished knitting another hat & have started a scarf using up lo yarn. Dinner was from an HF card - chicken & mushroom pie with the addition of bacon, with mash & peas. Wudupa. Btw the forecast was correct & it rained on & off all afternoon & evening. Paid the milkman. This afternoon I watched the remake of Naked Gun with Liam Neeson - very disappointing 😞

GrannyKate, shame you have to pause the U3A group ☹️ but very MSE 😊 Great work dealing with frogs 👏 Fingers crossed that you can line up the electrician, builder & decorator quickly 🤞Bacon butties 😋Florenceem, thanks for the information, I hadn’t realised the items were inherited 🙂 MrF would definitely approve 🥹 Relieved to hear that you don’t have to wait too long to see the Dr about your mri results 😮💨 Such a lovely friend 🥹 I will be thinking of you tomorrow & am sending gentle cwtches 🤗
Excellent decluttering MadamMim2013 👏 & I like the idea that it is easier to declutter if you are concentrating on something else 🤔
Excellent work in the garden dND 👏 A medal 🏅 is on its way 😊 Definitely agree that you should wait for the garden waste collection to resume rather than giving the spiders etc a home in your car 😉 So pleased to hear that you are enjoying your knit & natter group ☺️ & that you have been inspired to complete all your WIPs 🥳 Totally agree with you about the ‘overhaul’ - I just cannot believe the bare faced cheek telling us that using it is ‘intuitive’ 😖
2Scratters, thanks for the tip about reviving bendy carrots 👏 Keeping everything crossed that you find your missing diamonds 🤞
surprisinglynice, I was drooling as I read the list of your baking 🤤 I am in the “strange people camp” of loving the ‘skin’ on rice pudding as did my DMum 😉
Lovely post vulpix 😊 You might not have started shortening the curtains but the upside is that you could keep an eye on MrV’s spending 🤭 Nothing yet on the bike as DH hasn’t wanted to work in the rain & cold 🙁
Great decluttering Wednesday2000 👏
BlueJ94, absolutely counts as decluttering 🥳 I remember basketcase weighing the items she decluttered (or checking the manuals 😉) so just think how much decluttering you have done by weight 🥹
florianatwobob, thank you for sharing such wonderful memories 🥹
Yorkie1, how wonderful to have some unexpected time off work ☺️ although I imagine it would have been quite nice to be paid for some of the O/T 😉
oceanspirit, what a good friend you are 🥹 Good luck tackling the long standing frog 🍀
Another busy day Florenceem 👏 Love the work that you have done on your granddaughter’s T-shirt ☺️
London_1, wow what a busy week 🤩 but such a shame that you got wet so many times 🥺 I am keeping everything crossed that you don’t get ill 🤞 I will also be sending ‘non bickering’ vibes for Saturday 😉 as well as wishes that you have a lovely birthday 🎂 🥳 Good luck improving your crochet technique & skills 🍀 I did have a wry smile at the notion that your elder DD wants a copy of all the family history documents 😟 - 50 years worth is a lot of paperwork so no wonder you keep putting it off 😉 So pleased to hear that both Jack & Ben will be visiting soon 🥹
vulpix, a busy time & well done on mainly using items you already have & only spending a minimal amount 👏 Yikes to sleet & snow rather than rain 😟 I do hope you & MrV are managing to keep warm 🙏
Yorkie1, thanks for the reminder about the Winter Olympics 👏 No decluttering here for the foreseeable future 😂 I certainly don’t envy the William Jones in Wales research for your family history 😟
A busy day suzeesu2000 👏 I will keep my fingers crossed for quick sales from your listings 🤞
diminua, well done on sticking to your one in, one out method 👏 Even in the damp, Myddleton House Gardens look lovely 😻
Florenceem, so sorry to hear that the captain has failed in his pastoral care 🥺 I do hope that MrF’s CoL is filled with love 🥹
TC77, you just need to cast your mind back & realise just how far you have come with your decluttering 🙏 Perhaps you should start taking before & after photos just to confirm to yourself how well you are doing 🥹
Sleep tight 😴

Mrs SD shame the film was disappointing. Do you knit while watching?
Thanka for the reminder about before and after photos , I've used before and found helpful so a new set photos is a great idea.
Definitely have more space in some drawers and cupboards but need to plan where things are and make it easier to put things away etc.

Thinking of you today Florenceem x

Flonrenceem Today will not be an easy day, but I'm sure you have the strength and love from MrF to keep you going . What other people think or do doesn't really matter, its how you think and feel does.
You and you alone knew him the best so keep the happy times in your head, and the sad ones tuck away for when you feel like having a rant at life and its sometimes unfairness.
We are all thinking of you today and wish you well on a very difficult day, but like all days it will come and go, and tomorrow will arrive. Sending you love, and hope for your tomorrows xxx
My eldest DD has a very stressful job and seems to always be worrying and I'm always saying to her
'Stop stressing your Dad is on your shoulder looking after you'
Yesterday she texted me on her way home after a big board meeting with her company and the local coumcil and said 'Mum I kept thinking of Dad and it seemed to work' as the very contentious councellor actually praised her and her report that she had been stressing dreadfully over for a week. I didn't actually say I told you so ,but I just smiled and said well done .
Just off to have my hair shorn so I will look tidy and respectable for eldest DD tomorrow Fingers crossed both DD stay amenable.
Suzeesu2000 I did giggle at the floating bridge turning into Noahs ark its a bit like the ferrys and tempremental and often doesn't run. I can remember when it was 6d to use the bridge I think its about a pound now for less that a few yards
Onwards and upwards chums

Hi all,
Firstly @Florenceem my thoughts are with you today, big hugs.
Sorry for being absent, it's been a weird few days, a mixture of procrastination and loads happening in one day 😁. I have been to the dentist and had the crown fitted, been to the Drs to try to sort out if I need to be referred to ent, Drs said he doesn't think so but has made a referral to nhs audiologist and I have an appointment on 14th Feb so that was quite quick. I actually got a phone call from the surgery on the same day to book the appointment and I was given a choice of locations 😁. I was amazed 😁. Today I have an appointment with the kitchen planner and still have no idea what sort of kitchen I want 😂.
I have had a union thing land and have spent quite a bit of time sorting that out but it should be finished today 😁.
Between times I have still been eating out of the freezer and have started some batch cooking to refill it with easy home made ready cooked meals for when we have no kitchen.
Declutter wise things have been ticking along and I have put 11 things in the cs bag which will be counted when they have left the house and another non fitting sheet has gone into the bag for A for her church project but I am sure I'll find more for her. I had to buy some new circular needles for the cowl I am knitting as I only had long ones the right size and couldn't get on easily with the loop thing so bought shorter ones but they will fit easily in my needle pouch when not in use 😁.
I have caught up with all the posts and there were a few things I wanted to say but I am rushing this morning so will post them later 😁. Meanwhile hugs to anybody who would like one.

Abit embarrassed posting but hoping it will make me accountable. First is the spare bedroom that no-one could stay in - i have things out to sort and then dd1 's old bedroom which was filled with stuff and I manged to empty to get carpet laid, curtains to be changed and then some furniture from my dad's and from elsewhere in the house to go in it and then some will go longer term as I decide what I want to really keep.
You can see too.much of everything! Checking if dd1 wants a TV
