ionafan, Thank you, I will take you up on that offer. Stocking a garden is heckish expensive. We are always up for a road trip. It would be lovely to have a garden with plants from MSE friends. A lot of the plants that I have are in pots, have been given to me. I still have the rhubarb given to me by bit by bit. The pot plants will enjoy finally getting in the ground, although it will be some time yet.
We have a lot of lilac too. Don't know what colour yet. I love lilac but they only give good value for about a month. They are enmeshed in the rockery outside the back door. I will have to take action with them as when they sway in the wind they set the motion light off.😂
DD1 is back from Shetland. She was there for work but caught up with everyone in the evenings and of course Up Helly Aa. I love the Island community. If DD1 had stayed there we would have moved up there too. DD loved it but she is ambitious and wanted to pursue other work opportunities. It's an amazing if windy place.
Today is frog day, or do something off the to do list We don't have many quick easy jobs left unfortunately. One job is better than none so better get to it.

I bought a Spring wreath and a bunch of flowers after my class yesterday as it is Imbolc. There was a fire ceremony to celebrate Spring coming that I was going to go to yesterday, but its was cancelled as there was heavy rain here, ironically!😁
I had to pack the Autumn and Xmas wreaths away so I found room for them in the airing cupboard. I took everything out and gave it a good sort out. It looks much tidier. I do have a bag of old towels to give to a local dog charity, but they got inundated with donations so I'm not sure what to do with them now, maybe put them in my dog's basket as blankets.
I am going to do a big declutter of my clothes, but I can't face it today. I will go through my pyjama drawer as that is extremely cluttered and I can't see what I have in there.

In a fit of organisation I went through the wardrobe yesterday. Found some of my more sparkly tops that I don’t reach for anymore so am sending the off to charity.
February I’m going through the recipe books. I have some which are home to faithful recipes but only 1 or two. I aim to copy them into a notebook that actually lives in a cupboard in the kitchen for this very purpose! I’m also signposting to the book if I know the book is staying.

Thought I was on the way to decluttering an ongoing frog which is sorting out my last work pension. Sent them an email to send me the info and they responded today by email with a zipped file. Which is corrupt and so can't be opened. So I've sent them a reply and asked them to send me everything by post. This is extra annoying as we only get post about once a week currently (which is a big improvement from twice a month) so it slows down everything that needs doing.

Decluttered the fridge today, as it is shopping day tomorrow. Froze some peppers and some cooked beetroot that we don't plan to eat for a few days, during which time they would go off. Had to put one pepper into the compost bucket as I hadn't got to it quickly enough. I don't like wasting food, but it came from a L*dl cheap veg box anyway, so not a huge loss. And putting it in the compost isn't really waste as it goes to feed next year's plants 😊

Been going through some drawers and decided we really need to get some soft drawstring type glasses cases/bags to keep glasses and sunglasses from getting scratches.
Then I gathered together the many glasses cleaning cloths and thought what a lot we have.
Penny dropped and an hour or so later I have 14 bags with no drawstring made from cleaning cloths and 4 with drawstrings made from a neckie bought in the pandemic. (We have several of these, very handy to have round your neck but could be pulled up and used as a makeshift mask once restrictions were lifted but when I felt I wanted a wee bit protection.)
As I'm now needing driving glasses it will be useful to keep a pair in the dash of each car, in a bag, so I'm not having to remember to take them with me each time I leave the house.
So something useful made from spares and no money spent

Just a quick check in as feeling slightly overwhelmed with work craziness and many, many things that need to be used up. I am currently putting all my energy into ignoring the pile of wrapping paper on my floor from DS's birthday yesterday that I need to sort through for saving purposes. It is too overwhelming at the moment, so chipping away at other things.
I have craft supplies to use up, paper/notebooks to use up, far too much food cupboard stock to use up, clothes to finish dealing with (some I am keeping although I don't like them as I need to wear something and will go once I find an alternative), bathroom supplies to use up and probably more. Just going to keep chipping away at anything I feel like doing each day and I'll get there eventually. I'm probably just more overwhelmed than usual due to work craziness. From a glass half full perspective, DS had his friends over yesterday for his birthday party and although I tidied, it was just clearing up the kitchen post cake making and putting all the dry clothes away. No other tidying really needed bar my library room that I just closed the door on. To be fair it wasn't that bad until I littered it with wrapping paper…
DS did sell some of his toys so a few bits out there. As I was working from home today, I continued working through the xmas card craft supplies my sister gave me. I find it's best to make them whilst I remember, otherwise I never have time when I actually need to send any. I also packed up a charity bag as the box was filling up.
I have to admit to recluttering with a lovely cupboard I saw in an antique/second hand shop that is on the side and will eventually be storing all my tiny baking bits and bobs (like cutters) that keep getting lost in the pesky dark corner of the kitchen cupboard.

I thought I would just bite the bullet and sort out my pyjama drawer and my wardrobe today. I ended up with a big bag of nightwear for the charity shop.
I arranged our clothes into normal day clothes, scruffy at home and things to wear on a day or night out. Wow. I need some more dressy clothes.I’m going to look tomorrow before my first class in some of the more boutique stores around here.

A good idea indeed for all those glasses cloths Daisy. I keep them but never know what to do with them, that includes cleaning glasses. Think they are only ever used on first day of owning new glasses and that's it.I have started refusing cases and cloths now as I don't use them.
Pictures hung in the small spare room. Need to get the drill back off DD1 to drill the walls to put shelves up.Old sealant scraped off the landing window, new sealant applied. Spare room beds put back after recent visitors. There was a move about to accommodate little ones with parents. Changed our bed, did 3 loads of washing. Doesn't sound much but took most of the afternoon, that included a trip out to buy panel pins.
Found a couple of pillowcases that can start a new charity shop bag. Slow going with using up, decluttering and frog eating. As I keep hearing from someone on FB, progress not perfection.
Currently using up the freezer contents. Mr V will be having pizza and I will be having a fishalike butty. For fellow vegans I think Aldi fishalike are very nice.
Take care all Vx

My husband really likes the Aldi vegan fish with chip shop chips. I like it with chips and mushy peas.🥰
