May I huff please? MEN! HUFF!!!
Told OH that I would cook dinner if he would put out the recycling. We have a big bin outside the kitchen door and when it's getting full it gets emptied into the proper recycling bin that the council empties every other week. Well the one outside the kitchen door is so full that stuff is overflowing on to the ground. When I mentioned this to OH he said yes, he was aware. So WHY didn't he do anything about it??? grrrrrrr Huff! It's the same with the garbage bin, he'll keep jamming things in until the bag rips rather than empty it as it becomes full.

@Brie I feel your pain. DBro1 has recycling blindness unless specifically pointed out to him.
What he will also do that drives DSis and I to distraction is gently lay the item to be recycled on top of the bag…not in the bag….but on the bag leaving the outside of the bag to become sticky with whatever residue remains on the cellophane/plastic/glass.

Dizzy cap I have missed your daxie sleigh. I hope you post a pic next Christmas.
Mrs SD, what an unexpected turn with the motorbike. I am sure the garage will want to get onto sorting it asap.Knitting and any crafting are my soothers. I craft to bring some calm when my brain is on overload. So every day then ! I get most pleasure from hand making things. I can use a sewing machine but prefer to make things the slow way.😂
Recycling blindness.🤣
Mr V always buys raffle tickets for a DJ friends annual memorial fund raiser. He's won a silent disco for 100 people or a silent cinema. We are thinking this could work for the veterans charity we want to support.
So, off the premises, 3 wall brackets, a plastic leaf ball ornament, an empty hanging basket, and a a bird feeding station. Lots more to list including 6 plastic chairs and a large plastic table. A job for another day. Also enough garden things laying about for a tip run.

recycling blindness is a subcategory of the general male pattern blindness. in my sexist opinion at least.
meanwhile forgot to say I was looking for a fleece to put on the other day and remember 2 that were in a cupboard. pulled the first out and thought "no". pulled the second out and though "blinking well no" so both are in the room of doom pile to go into a chazzer bag.
and I had a giggle the other day when I saw a "tidy & clean schedule" someone had posted somewhere. All those "change the towels twice a week, wash the kitchen floor once a week" - all of which make sense and I wish I had the energy but our towels don't get the mucky and the way the OH chucks flour or toast crumbs about the kitchen should be hoovered and scrubbed several times a week. (but doesn't get done as I'm the only one that sees the mess). In the mix was tidy and clean the car once a month. What a hoot!! I've got stuff in there from pre pandemic!! I bought MiL a pair of slippers which turned out to be too small and couldn't be returned so I put them in a post bag thinking I'd ebay them. But put them in the car for some reason. Well MiL died 2 1/2 years back and the slippers were likely bought at least a year earlier. Yes I must tidy my car….

@vulpix I can offer you some crocosmia Lucifer, when you want some. It grows like a weed in my sandy soil and gets ginoromous!
@Dizzycap your post made me laugh out loud 😍
It's been a grey and drizzly day here, but Rosie and I managed a walk between the showers. I have just decluttered an hour with my feet up, talking on the phone with my daughter in law who was unable to join the family party at Christmas (she's a mature college student and has been exceptionally busy during January), and now I'm going to carry on with photosorting, hoping to finish this one album of pictures stuck in with sticky pads before DH comes home and wants feeding.

I went to Church at my friend's corps today - lovely service - chap of 86 had travelled 2 1/2 hours to lead it.
I emptied and cleaned the cupboard where I keep baking trays.
I have 3 grandsons with names beginning with the letter J. Gardener J's brother came to visit me. He is resting as they say in show business but has a part time job delivering groceries.
I am going to pop upstairs to get some more paperwork from the office to sort.

Evening all. DS2 safely home but they are very tired. Long drive back from Gatwick. Done a few bits but not too energetic today. Nothing to go out for until Wednesday pm this week but I doubt I'll stay in. I finished stripping wall paper in bedroom 3 and I have aches and pains in my back and shoulders to show for it. Will try chasing up the electrician tomorrow and contact the plasterer. Hopefully it just needs some patching up. Took curtains down and put away for the moment. They are going back up but I realise I will need some rings for the new pole I have already bought. I had a thorough hoover round and got tools out to do skirting areas. There was lots of grit and dried wallpaper about and it treads into the other rooms.
168 Monthly banking done - not too bad.
169 Curtain rings (wooden) in CS bag
170 Wooden curtain pole out
171 Drink bottle to CS bag - DGD4 chose it but doesn't like it
Sox feels he needs to help with the jigsaw and keeps sitting on it - I'm sure he knows it is about cats.

Sox is lovely. And will likely declutter one piece of the puzzle under the washing machine.
