Happy birthday Pip! 🥳🎉🎂
Welll done on your sales @DawnW.
NSD#10
DS3 had workplace review today. They said if they had enough staff to run the course (they don't!) they'd be putting him forward for an advanced joinery course (usually available to 3rd year apprentices, hes only 2nd year). Also thinking of recommending him for site manager's training! Im proud of him for also asking for counseling through the college. Thinking i might need some myself, as struggling a bit just now. Admitted it to DH tonight, he said that he is too.
Did some hand sewing after tea.
Grateful for laughter to lighten the darkness, that DS is doing so well & he's asked for helpUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

What an incredibly good idea. You have to go on with the mundane stuff of daily life ( loo roll does not magically appear a la Disney films) but you still have so much to process, you are being so strong for everyone. Get some counselling. Get Mr Thrifty some too. It is what you would tell your best friend to do if they were in this situation, isn't it? Sending masses of Hugs across the water to all the Thriftys.Thrifty_Taylor said:Thinking i might need some myself, as struggling a bit just now. No f0xh0les, the house sale did not go through last Friday. I've spent most of the day trying to put money on my phones so I can order pills and contact various utilities and the Council. With DS3's supple fingers I finally got money on one (so I can order pills) but will have to go to Tessimo's at some point to see if I can top up without an app or a QR code. Took until 2.40 pm to get that much done.
My chest is making interesting noises so I'm resting and then my brother phoned to say the sale didn't go through - bah humbug.8 -
Thrifty, many hugs to you all

Today was NSD9, tomorrow and Friday will be on expenses so NSD 10 &11.
I got booked again last minute for a local ceremony. I am not complaining
I actually have more work booked in for January than I had for the first 6 months of last year. Finally I am in demand!
I have made a lot of progress in the cleaning and tidying of my house.
I still haven't booked a builder or plumber, but I am at a point where the house is good enough for me to invite someone in to quote without dying of embarrassment, or getting weird looks.
DH is not helping. He doesn't get it, and my suggestion that we rent a storage space for 3 months to store all the 'stuff' for his hobbies did not go down well. I am NOT having it all in my bedroom 🙄 .
Anyway, I will get a fat paycheque this month, I am popular at work, I can afford the building work I want done, I am making progress.
I did a survey today, and for the first time in 24 years had to ✅️ the box for NOT being responsible for an under 16 year old.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Happy birthday Pip.Sorry the sale didn’t go through Grandmanerd
hugs Thrifty- I believe everyone should have some counselling so you definitely should. It is so beneficial.Nsd #9 here. And hump day is done! Let’s hope the weather is nice to us tomorrow and we don’t get a full day of rain as Apple is predicting.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #826 -
Hello and hugs to everyone who needs one and @Thrifty_Taylor
Not good at counting NSDs this month as I've been out of practice for a few months. However, been really watching my spending, said no to take aways, and home cooked more, bought less snacks at work. The way it looks now I will be able to reduce the OD by a couple of hundred this month (wasn't expected to start till next month).01/26: OD £1200, CC £3914, family £3100, loan £5618 - total: £13832, mortgage £58,2438 -
Hello lovelies. Well the weather was rainy all day. Not what I wanted but it means another nsd so up to 10. Not a bad week for nsds. Not sure what tomorrow will bring as I think I should be able to get another nsd but Fridays are funny. I’ll take lunch to work with me so that’s one less temptation.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #826
