@beanielou - I can relate to not reacting well to the morphine - I don't either. Always nervous about trying any new medicine. Sending you and her many hugs.

Thinking of you both @beanielou. She's in the right place to be kept an eye on & treated. Sure she'll be discharged soon x

Well back to work yesterday, all went well. Bought a few urgent things from the C0op before coming home. Only eggs they had left were £3 for 6! Thankfully DS2 paid for them.
More snow overnight. Took me half an hour to clear the driveway, felt quite shaky afterwards. DH scraped the car whilst I got dressed & breakfasted. Skidded lots as I pulled out the drive, but the roads weren't too bad. Arrived with 5 mind before the bell rang.
Pupil doing everything except what they were supposed to. Thought I was going to spontaneously combust an hour after arriving. A colleague came to drop something off & did some tapping with me, which made me cry a little, but released some of the stress. She aptly pointed out that everything is bubbling under the surface, after the holidays & the slightest additional thing will tip me over.
The rest of the day went ok. Had a nap for an hour when I got home. Did some knitting & watched TV after tea.
Grateful for not skidding into a ditch, helpful colleagues & a better afternoonUse it up, wear it out

@beanielou hope your mum recovers well.
@beanielou I'll do a split approach, rather than snowballing. Neither interest is is that bad. And mentally that works better for me. I did my updated spreadsheet yesterday, I will clear the OD over the next 6 months, while also reducing the CC debt and saving for holidays (trips to see family in Germany) and Christmas/birthdays (as not to go into debt for spending on that in the future). No point clearing all the CC (tried that before) and then having to use it again for that. I'm also putting a small amount away for vet bills (kitty might need teeth done this year) and a small amount for emergencies (again to avoid using OD or CC).
Had a quick look through my freezer and the next three dinners are sorted. Will need to spend some money this weekend on school clothes and road salt to deal with the ice rink out front.
Again coffee free morning (decaf), will go to gym and have lovely LO for lunch. Couldn't be bothered to bread individual fish cakes yesterday, so chucked the fish cake mix in it's dish, topped with bread crumbs and cheese in the oven, Delicious.01/26: OD £1200, CC £3914, family £3100, loan £5618 - total: £13832, mortgage £58,2436 -

My last 3 morning wins have been getting myself up and dressed and fed and getting to work on time!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7 -
We weren't badly affected by the storm, but it has got colder again this afternoon. Needless to say I was at work, where it is usually cold anyway
Folded the washing from the airer, nothing needed ironing
OH cooked dinner, fish and chips with peas
Pleased to be home in the warm! No plans to go anywhere over the weekend.5 -
On the train on the way home from work should get home just after 9pm. The last 3 days have been on expenses, so very, very little spent so far this year.
I made lots of people happy 😊. Only 1 person was not happy, which i think is not a bad return.
This weekend will involve aggressive hoovering of the house in the early morning, and buying bread and milk, as my menfolk are rubbish 🗑 and there is none of one, and very little of the other.
Gratitudes:
I am liked at work.
I will have a nice fat paycheque at the end of the month now - 3 events booked me!

A couple of slow days but declutter is now up to 28/ 2026.
Grateful for time to rest (don't have a lot of choice when I'm continually nodding off), the time I spent earlier in the week, cleaning parts of my face and body very gently, drying thoroughly and then adding various creams/ medicines. My hands and face feel good, my hands are not wrinkly. Doing a wash load + drain and spin + drying on low heat - going to put things on hangers to finish off.
I may be going to spend more money. I still haven't bought my bedspread. I left it to see if there were reductions in the sales. I also looked at thermal curtains but none that matched my current decor. Was thinking about it for next winter but this one isn't over yet and looking through one of the charity sales I saw a doormat (on the list) and a doorstopper at bargain prices. So may try another couple of outlets for curtains. I did a small food order yesterday as my marg has gone off and I'd not bought washing up liquid (asked Mrs Builder about it 2 weeks ago - see through liquid in a see through bottle). I don't use a lot of marg/ butter, one pack lasts 6 months to a year but atm I have toast bread, baked potatoes and scones, all of which I prefer with just butter on.

Yesterday was nsd#5 but today was a spend day. It was my nieces birthday and she had invited us for a take away and cake. After a long week at work that sounded dreamy so I will sacrifice a nsd for no cooking, no cleaning after and cake.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #825
