If your sister says you're lucky you might want to quote Stephen Leacock “I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.”

What a strange response. It’s not about her.

Morning all, well I never had a response about whether or not she's coming, she's probably still lamenting on the fact it will never happen for her 🙊🙈. I think this is the reason I kept holding off and not wanting to invite her. But I know she's had a really tough year or three so I felt I'd forgive the fact she never reaches out, although she does to our other sister and mum, and invite her anyway. Perhaps it was a mistake 🙈
I love the quote greenbee!
And daisy I really do need to prepare some answers for what I know is to come. I know for a fact I'd get, I wanted a dressing room, I have more clothes than you and you were never even interested in one! You stole my Idea. And - I wanted a second living room so I don't have to watch stupid YT shows with everyone when I want to read a book. Then the no doubt clear picture she will give me of how she'd decorate her rooms because she hates pink although mine are ok because I like 🩷 pink 🤣🤣🤣- I can pretty much tell you word for word what she'd say as this happens in every house I get. Even the rubbish army houses I've had that had no personality and the ex council house I had that had woodchip everywhere. It's tough being the older sibling when your younger siblings still seem to be jealous, nearly thirty years after we last lived together 😆🙃🙂.
I'm laughing, but she must be unhappy to continuously compare herself to others which is sad really 🙁.
Anyway, I've a day off again wooo. For some reason I woke up thinking it was Monday and when I realised it was Sunday I was happy 😁.... however boring jobs today of shopping and cleaning that have to be done. Our fridge is empty. I will do a shop from home first and make a list of what we have and what we need and hopefully the list will be Lazer guided when I get there. I somehow have three OJs and two apple juices in the fridge because I just don't look properly (clearly) when I'm doing the list 🙈.
Still on a diet this week, I'm feeling slightly better for it. Just eating plain and letting my body heal a little bit and detox whatever rubbish it needs to. I hope to lose a few lbs but if I don't I don't mind this is more about feeling healthy. I don't want my CFS to spiral any more than it already has.
I want to squeeze in a gym session today too, sauna included. So I'll go have a cuppa and think about order to do this. 😁

I had the ‘Ooh, it’s still the weekend!’ feeling this morning too 😊 Oh and overrun by fruit juice? I raise you bread!! My poor freezer is rammed with it after yesterday’s delivery - how I ended up with two new loaves when I didn’t intend to buy any, I do NOT know! 🤷♀️😂 #confusedornotfunctioning …
Your sister is being your sister. Only persist with your invitation to her, if her being there will add to your joy. If it won’t, then don’t …
I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better. Maybe plan your list so it includes healthy / better option snacks for if / when you are going to be busy in the week?
Good luck with the gym and I am already seeing you melting into a happy, relaxed, puddle in the sauna … 😉😊

@KajiKita we ran out of bread 🙃 perhaps we can do a swapsie 😆.
Healthier snacks were on the menu last week and I did quite well with sticking to just them, rice cakes with hummus and cucumber on top, dates, fruit and instead of fizzy drinks I had small fruit juice cartons with lunch in a bid to trick myself into thinking I'd had a treat. Possibly too much sugar still in my diet from natural sources now but I needed to replace the bad bad sugar with something, then I can wean down from there. Edited to add - no chocolate or crisps were consumed!
Dinners are mostly made from things in the cupboard, freezer and fridge. I can eat most and the ones I can't (without reaction) I have got an alternative for myself. Then once cupboards and fridge/ freezer are eaten down I'll do a meal plan for all of us that's healthier - but for now mission is to empty as much of the cupboard and freezer as possible whilst trying to balance healthy for me. I found a couple of dinners that were about to go out of date and one that has expired but still looks okay so DP and DD will have that tonight or tomorrow. Haven't an awful lot left in the food budget so trying to stretch what I've got.

Shopping is done 😊✅ £110 across Mr T and l1dl.
DD got me some sweets and chocolate and a card for mother's day which was lovely. Nothing from either son. Am not surprised both are probably still in bed 🤣. The SM's were rammed with last minute shoppers for chocolates, card, flowers. So took forever to get around.
I cleaned the fridge out and sprayed it all down and rearranged it as it all went back in so hopefully nothing will get lost at the back now and go off.
Sauna this afternoon, after housework and gardening and steps from shopping I won't bother with the gym, just bit of warmth in the sauna 🥵. DP is outside digging grass up ready to lay our new patio 🤩 it is going to be nice and big, my patios have always been too small to put a large table and chairs on so I'm looking forward to that. He'll put the order in for sand, slabs and whacker hire tomorrow hopefully. Then it can be here for next weekend. It's super windy out again so not much gardening done for me. 🥶
I've got snacks ready for next week so I don't reach for choc next week. Hummus and veg sticks, veg crisps, nuts, fruit, yoghurt and I will make some protein balls I think to take to work for sweet treats after lunch.
Next week I have a Dr appointment about HRT (again 🙄) and I think I have something else in the calendar but can't remember what. Need to check...I've less than three weeks till I break up for Easter. This term is dragging big time, I'm so tired I'm limping through to the end already.

Hope any mum's, Nan's/ people who take on the role of (including fur baby's) had a good day.
I got the card from DD, a text from ds1 when he finally got up (hungover) and I got one from DS2 when kind of prompted (hello how was your weekend message and he said happy mother's day - also said he had me a present ❤️).
I've purposely had a lazy afternoon, we went to the sauna, and then I watched a movie when home and caught up with some friends on messages. My best friend is still waiting for her husband to pass, she's at his children's house now as he's been moved there for more space etc...but they're really not very welcoming or kind to her. I do feel for her. And hope he lets go soon, he's very very poorly now. Other friends I've tried to squeeze in visits either at weekends or over Easter. Didn't hear back from sis. Anyway, watching a movie now (kinda) and will make a hot drink I think before caving and going to bed early 😆. Hoping for a quieter week than last week but I think it's actually going to be busier next week. I don't want to keep wishing my week away but I really am at that stage already this term 🙈!

Thanks @beanielou 😊
Morning world, I've been up early all weekend and no alarm needed, it comes to Monday and I'm dragging myself out of bed once again . I made overnight oats yesterday, enough for two days so had half this morning, and have leftover pea pasta from yesterday dinner for my lunch. I'll get a few healthy snacks to take too and hopefully last the day.
Don't have a lot in the diary this morning now, one of my appointments cancelled (secret Whoop!) so I'll head into the office instead.
I caved and ordered some compost, vermiculite and other bits to add to the compost yesterday so that should arrive today. When I was gardening I dislodged a few bulbs that were just starting to poke through the soil so I need new compost asap to put them back in their pots. Currently they're thrown on top of my raised beds 🙈 and I'm hoping I haven't ruined them as they're beautiful tall lilies. If the weather is okay later and the delivery has come I'll go do that after work.
