Really windy here the lights and tv keep flickering. It is cold so popped the heating on to warm up. Well done on keeping your calm so far. I dont see her returning after Easter

does she get sick pay on her temp contract ? If she gets it for a couple of months that would tie in with Easter going off sick

Yes we do get sick pay although it would go to SSP at some point I don't know when though as I've only ever had a few days off at a time when I've had bugs 🤔. That would be great if she does go off then. Tutor seems to think she won't last very long. But we will see....
In other news I had an email from my son's school to say he's been invited to extra English lessons to get his GCSE grade up and so I messaged him. Just saying hello… and his response was the longest one I've had yet. He said he did well and passed all his mocks. 🤔 And how am I? So I didn't say I'd had an email. I think it's more important to keep in contact with my son and have him happy than passing a GCSE that can be retaken again, so I chatted back with him and took the chance to tell him DP and I are getting married (haven't dared say it before, felt timing wasn't right) and invited DS. He's agreed to come and said he would love to be there and wished us both well. 🤩 Have we reached that critical turning point?
DD seemed to think he wasn't happy at dad's house months ago but DS is proud and I know not to prod when he's feeling let down...this has been so painful knowing he's going through a tough time there though and being unable to help. My hope is he wants to come home as he wants to go to a college nearer me than ex...but I won't get hopes up, just yet anyway…anyway some good news at last 😍.

Great news DFW that's a big step in the right direction. Keep it positive and remind him when you see him that his room is always there if he ever wants to visit/come back. Sometimes you need to try things to realise the grass isn't greener.

That's fab news about DS, I have everything crossed that this is the turning point. Must have been so lovely to hear from him. You've been waiting a long time for it. 🤞🤞

Full of admiration for you @debtfreewannabe321 and for lovely colleague! Merciful Gods, the entitled one has been allowed to get away with this for far too long. I hope you feel empowered as you've stood up for yourself and for others.
Marvellous news re DS! Things are changing all round. Yes, the wind is biblical here. Love Humdinger xx
