Thanks for that greenbee, I had no idea, hence my concern for all these gardenpods you see on TV ! I've never wfh but mr d did for the last 6 months of his working life after covid sent them all home a week before lockdown. It certainly wasn't as well ,protected as you describe 😆 so I'm glad of the circs you describe for proper wfh folks 😀

Morning all,
Daisy I don't know much about the protection of stuff but I know his last boss saw his set up in the garden and thought it was great. He's still in the same company now just a different job.
Well I was in bed flat out by around 9, unsure what was wrong with me but it seems to have passed. I hate feeling sick 🤢…
Right, this morning, well we have our escalation meeting with the bosses boss, the boss, and our small team of four -tutor, lovely lady, me and newbie. Wish me luck. Newbie doesn't realise it's been escalated but I'm aware of what this meeting is as is everyone else. I am waiting to be grilled on what's what and who's where. Newbie has been filling her calendar and not actually going to things but sitting in the office instead 🙈. I'm okay as I've been doing the job.
Okay after my baby portion of dinner last night I'm starving so I'm off for breakfast and tea before getting ready for work.

Good luck today. I hope it finally leads to a resolution that means newbie leaves for the sake of the entire office! 🤞

Filing in the calander and not actually going. That’s a whole new level.

She may well be encouraged to resign @debtfreewannabe321 rather than be fired. She may try to blame everyone else, utterly oblivious...standing by for updates. Like all your plans for home and garden love Humdinger xx

The meeting was a bit of a let down. Bosses boss didn't really do anything aside from tell us what we already know (we've got targets to reach and only a few months left) and wasn't half as targeted as we'd been warned it would be (I.e we'll be after those not doing their job - newbie we look to you!- She sat very quietly during the meeting which makes a (nice) change. But nothing major to report. Think I wasn't the only one disappointed in that outcome. I agree she should probably be encouraged to resign but I doubt she'd actually do it.
She left early this afternoon after a strop about not wanting to put appointments in and sat there shrugging her shoulders in an exaggerated way every time she was asked a question by tutor (who was beginning to lose her cool) and repeating 'I don't know' to each one. She doesn't have the capacity to do the job, this much is evident now and yet she turns up (when she feels like it) and sits because she's getting paid to be there. And that's about as much effort that I think we'll see until her contract is up in summer.
She's also reverted back to switching lights off in rooms and very rudely asked me to stop talking earlier when I was discussing something with another member of staff. Telling us, I don't want to hear this right now. I'm trying to do something (we were discussing next school year and obviously she shouldn't be there then). She's like a petulant child.
Anyway this afternoon was nice, she was gone, I did most of my calendar for next week so kind of know what I'm doing. I made those that need to know, that I'm leaving early on Friday because I'll have done my hours by that point and I'm doing a slightly shorter day tomorrow too because today was so long with meetings either end of the day. I've done 25 hours already up to now so only have another 12.5 to go this week (it's been a long long week for me already). I have not told newbie I'm leaving early or doing shorter hours tomorrow because she is on an action plan and she has been made to do specific hours each day so they can keep an eye on her. She's lied several times about what she's doing and this job is based a lot on being able to trust that we're doing what we say we're doing.
Anyway moving on, DP had kindly cooked dinner for me this evening when I got back. Not quite as healthy as I would have cooked for myself (sausage, mash and cabbage and I'm trying to eat a little less UPF) but I appreciate it was done as I got back late. So grateful for that 🙏🏻☺️. He made me a fruit salad to balance it out afterwards 😆.
Another NSD!
However I've run out of BB cream, moisturiser and I cannot find my ear pods anywhere. I had one good pair which have gone missing, I bought a second pair for meditation upstairs however they are huge and so I passed them on to DP, and I've been unable to find my original pair 😐 so I need to buy another set. I'll add these things to my shopping list and see how long I eek out old moisturisers (not my favourites but they need using) and I've cut the BB cream in half and am scraping the edges!

Remember you do not need to tell newbie nor justify yourself to her. You will have worked your hours so you can go home.
