DD shared an observation and asked a question earlier - mum is cousin rich? She has this bag (names brand I never heard of- bus? Coach? Train?.some sort of public transport - side note why would you call an expensive brand after public transport). And this ('nother expensive brand can't recall that one at all) coat, and these expensive uggs (heard of that one) and whatever else she named- including brand new car 🤣...I hadn't even noticed never really been a brand girl. Anyway she shared this as I wandered around a charity shop picking up clothes off the £1 rail going ooo bargain 🤣 and asked if she was much richer than us. I explained cousin has a tonne of disposable income spare every month because she doesn't have a mortgage as currently lives with family members. And if I could find a family member who liked me, and I them, I think I'd do the same so I had a grand spare each month too 🤔😉. Currently racking brain to remember lost old aunt or uncle that might still talk to me and let me move in 😉. I told her looks can be deceiving and not to take too much notice to what people are wearing, with time most of that depreciates to not much.
Anyway. I'm utterly drained, exhausted and have a migraine lingering so will go read for a little while,. meditate and sleep. I've been super good and meditated twice a day all week and got up at 6;30 instead of 7 so my morning isn't rushed. Also been making my lunch then night before. Still have a twitch in my eye from stress but hopefully that will ease off if I can keep some self care up.
Not a NSD as spent £5 in the CS. 🤣 Two pairs of lovely courdoroy (how do you spell this??) trousers and a couple of tops and a hanging sign for a friend!
However got refund of £51 from gOustO and have ordered a week shop from Mr S to be delivered on Saturday.
Must book my holiday leave tomorrow for my trip to Paris. I'm looking forward to that ☺️.
Oh and I had some good news- what I actually came on for and then totally forgot and started typing the above 🤦🏻♀️ even though I'd been docked £400 out of my wage, I went and checked my wage slip this evening as I knew it would be ready and I'm being paid more than usual 🤔 even though I have only done two days in the new job by the cut off point. I shan't query it. But it means Feb might not need to be quite as frugal as January which I was preparing myself for! 😁.Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000

I love that your dd is asking these questions. Shows she's not just blindly thinking I must have that too. Bodes well for her future I think 👍
If you find your rich auntie/uncle/babysitter's-nephew's-next-door-neighbour and they have any more space, ask if we can move in too please? Be lovely to have all that disposable income and the future can go chase itself kind of attitude !! 😆 🤣

If said rich auntie/uncle whatever has fields for the horses I'll come too

I could sell up and retire but still would not buy designer items although I once did have a Coach bag that stressed me out whenever I used it because the zip section was too small and the open pockets seemed to me to be a risk for having my purse or phone or something stolen whilst in London. Sold it on Vinted. Current handbag very much loved from TK M and does up properly!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!9 -
I'll see if I can find a lost family member with a place big enough for all the cats, dogs and horses we like and we can start an MSE commune 😁.
Only tomorrow left for this week, I'm zapped! Tomorrow I'm going out of college for the morning so will only have the afternoon to get through. I started at 8 this morning, so left the house at 7:30 tad early for me so I'm feeling super tired now 🙈. Hopefully I'll adjust to this easily enough a few weeks in. If I can get there for 8 I can be done by 4:30 which suits me better.
I've already booked two half terms off, Feb, and May made sure to learn how to book holiday as a priority 🙈🤣.
The other new lady started today (the one who got the 0.5 contract) and by the afternoon she looked like a rabbit in headlights 🙈 after class we went to the office and instead of trying to sort log in issues out on the computer she just said, I'm going. 🙈 I hope she comes back. She seemed nice. And I don't want to be left with both jobs on my own 🙈🤣.
Dinner was an utter faff and I'm glad to be done with the recipe boxes. DD will be glad too as she said there were too many mushrooms 🤣 she was right too. Most veggie options seemed to be mushroom based.
NSD again. I've done really well on these and only bought one lunch all month at work which was less than a fiver.
DP will be home tomorrow he seems to be really enjoying his course and full of beans when I speak to him in the evening. I haven't heard about everything he's been doing as we keep missing each other. I'm sure I'll hear all about it tomorrow 😁.

@beanielou it is done! Woop!beanielou said:That’s your first week done. 🤗
Came home and cooked a hotpot 🤔 and am about to shower the day off of me and chill for the evening. DP is super chatty and I've got a headache now from a noisy office and then non stop when home 😂 he's missed me though and loved his course so I've been letting him tell me about his week 🤗 whilst secretly thinking I need a nap. For about three days straight.
DD is off to the gym and I promised to go but I have nothing left to give this evening so said no. She's gone on her own and DP is dropping her.
I've been paid 🎉 slightly more than I'm usually paid so bonus!
The new lady was in today and once again tried to shirk off work at 3pm 🤔 she moaned to the manager that our office is too noisy, she's not wrong but I am not sure what they can do about it. She stayed till 4:30 even though she was supposed to be in till five. She did the same yesterday 😬. One, I don't think this is fair, two, I think...will she come back next week? I think it's a bit overwhelming for her, and she has to do all the training I did when I first started which can take days/weeks.
DP has paid for another element of his course he went on 😑 I'm not even going to discuss the cost of it. He seemed so buoyed by it I've allowed it (not that I could stop it but thankfully for him I had no energy to even question it ) and he will get mentoring now for the next year. He's promised to sort the payment out for this and swears down he will make the money back and a load more on top with the training he gets. If not then we have a loan to pay off, if he does fab. The training is in an area my own father has made a tonne of money on so I know it can work and DP seems keen as anything to make serious changes. His motivation was me 🥹 so I could give up work if my health was struggling again (did it ever stop) I couldn't be mad at that so here we are.... DP is going to be very busy over the next year I think! New job, courses to do and new businesses being set up. Thankfully I'm quite independent and super busy with work so I think it will work okay. He seems to have had a better week than me anyway and has a whole tonne of energy I wish I had!
DD had some good luck today, she found a tenner on the way to school/ at school? Wasn't really listening 🙈 I'm so tired I've zoned out.

Morning all,
So the shopping is due at 1, saves me going into busy SM on a Saturday. Only one item not available so might see if I can collect that later from somewhere local when taking DD to work. Want to go out for a walk today I think whilst we have no rain and some blue skies.
DP is full of chatter but I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed from work, DD being upset, and I'm struggling to not feel stressed. My F1tbit has asked me three times in the last hour, how are you feeling? 😑🤣
Got washing to do and ironing but not a lot else aside from that, house is pretty clean as we've hardly been here all week.
DP is away again tomorrow night for a conference for a couple of days so I think we'll go out and do something together in a while as we've missed each other 🥰 although my gawd is he a chatterbox when he hasn't seen me in ages. It's cute at first and then it starts to make me feel like I'm listening to terms and conditions on a radio advert 😬😉🤣Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000
