Thanks @Watty1, @Humdinger1, @KajiKita, @edinburgher. I've been okay today, had a little wobble before work this morning but I went in, I chose not to make my usual lunch and bought something out and about today instead because it was just too stressful to make it this morning. I went to bed really early last night after a long bath and chill. I was still crying at bedtime on and off 🙈 gawd anyone would think it was that time of the month 🤣.
Today I had students that usually do my head in to put It bluntly 🤷🏻♀️ but they were really lovely today and bought me a big bar of chocolate to say thank you for being there for them... These are from students I'm not even there to help technically (but ya know I help whoever wants/ needs it). The new me came in after lunch so I spent time going through ehcps and needs with her and introducing them especially those who don't particularly new people and change. She's lovely though so they took to her okay. And 3:45 I was outta there for the last time 😊🙏🏻❤️!
I lasted 14 months in that job. And am glad to see the back of it. 😁
I've ummed and ahhed over putting a complaint in about the tutor yesterday as the expectation for students with physical disabilities, downs, mental illness, autism and other needs was unrealistic and pathetically high. Unbelievable really and the students and myself were stressed to the hilt. My C-ptsd was triggered so badly I thought I was going to have a panic attack we had one student staring into a corner having internal meltdowns, two students fighting and three more messing about so loudly that's what triggered me and no tutor. However I have to now work alongside this tutor in the same office as of Monday and I don't think I can deal with the backlash of a complaint. So I've chosen not to say anything ☹️ I'm not sure that's the right call. I told three higher ability students yesterday to put a complaint in about it and if they come to me I will say something then. I don't think I can deal with aggro in the same office I'll be based in. Am I making the wrong call? ☹️ Probably. The notes I put on our system weren't exactly a complaint but I detailed exactly what happened and how everyone felt so I guess this as good as it gets to one..
@Humdinger1 I sent an email to the opticians- to their customer service dept- as they were shut before I started work and I wanted a rant at someone 🤣 eenie meenie minie mo, V1sion Expre55, you're it! I told them I want an apology forwarded to my daughter and for the amount of money I spend there every year if I don't get It we'll all move elsewhere. And if she crashes her car I'll be after them. Perhaps I didn't use quite as threatening language but almost 🤣.

Managed to cash out £10 from surveys sent straight across to Mortgage OP. 👏🏻 It's the little things like the dream of having no mortgage and being able to quit bad jobs if I want to that spur me on some days. 😉🤣Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Tbh I think you made the right call. Unless you have the strength yourself, you'd be no good to anyone in a one on one situation with the colleague who you will be sharing an office with if you aren't tip top yourself, can you imagine? Every day waiting on something being said. Very stressful.
Get yourself back to equilibrium and if anything comes of it you will be in a better place to speak out.
Also once you are less stressed, it might be that they say something in conversation about the situation they have maybe been placed in, perhaps forcing higher expectations onto students against their own judgement. You might find yourself being well placed to support them taking their complaints higher up?
Put it out your mind for this weekend

Agree with daisy - sometimes we can only make the right call when we are in the right place. Other times we just have to shelve it until we are well enough, we can support yes but not drive things forwards. Hope you can have a restful weekendMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Agreeing with what Watty and Daisy said but also noting that you have made contemporaneous notes, so if anything ever needs to come of it, you have it all documented already.KKAs at 15.01.26:
- When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £222,084
- OPs to mortgage = £12,881 Estd. interest saved = £6,203 to date
c. 16 months reduction in term
Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

I’m here! Happy New Diary dfw123!!!I hope that you manage to achieve your goals for 2026. Put your manifesting mind on & hop to it!It was super nostalgic for me to see @beanielou & @Greying_Pilgrim < I don’t know what I’m doing with these tags, but hopefully it worked. I haven’t looked around at the diaries. I can’t split my focus away from my own or I’ll crash & burn. My brain is already like a computer running Windows 98. There are 27 tabs open, 4 are frozen, & I have ½ the paw patrol theme playing somewhere, & a random advert for cillit bang shouting away on another. In short, my mind is very loud. So I have bookmarked you & I am waving to those people I know, if they remember me… but I may not venture far from my own diary while I try to get life on track!Thank you for pulling me back to the forums @debtfreewannabe321 ❤️ I’ve missed it! Though it’s odd accessing it on my phone via an app!! 😉
Much love! XxxTotal Debt: -£5,029.17/£11,220

Alright, now I’ve read & caught up. You have some very sage advisers in here! I can’t add much of anything to what we’ve already discussed. Just so glad you’re out of the stressfulness of 1-2-1. I’m still flabbergasted at what that tutor expected of those kids (& you!) during lesson. I did NOT realise you were there for 14 months. That flew by?!? I also didn’t realise you’re sharing the office. I think you made the right choice not to cause instantaneous friction, but in supporting the students to do so where they have the ability, you’ve done the best you can for them without causing unnecessary stress from the off.Big hugs. Hope you & DP are planning on a witness whizzing from Kent. I’ll give you away & be the best maidenman of honour 😉
Enjoy the weekend ❤️Total Debt: -£5,029.17/£11,220
