What a day. I'm so tired I'm heading up to bed in a bit. Spoke to DP he's happy enough beer tasting at his meeting 🤔 (feeling like I should have picked a different career path sometimes). DD wanted to go to the gym so I've had to take her there and back and I started dinner the second I walked in the door so it was all done by 5 🤣. Smart move I thought as I was so tired I got to rest and not do much this evening.
DD went to her first appointment on her own today - an opticians appointment. One she had to psych herself up for as she was nervous to go on her own, and they fobbed her off. Almost told her off for going because she isn't due one for a year. She explained she's having trouble seeing properly when driving and they did the eye health check and then fobbed her off and didn't test her. I'm fuming. I'm going over there tomorrow to speak to them. I doubt very much they'd have spoken to me in the same manner but because she's a young adult they think it okay to be rude and not do what we've asked them to do. Imagine if she had an accident now because she can't see properly 😡 they will be getting the wrong side of DFW and it will be their own doing.
NSD so that's good. I even picked up a few surveys too whilst DD was in the gym so have a fair bit pending from them (lots of small ones).
Work was alright but I was so tired I was struggling a lot. I was given some of my new job tasks to 'try out' and I managed to mess one up because I didn't read the form properly. I basically filled out a form that didn't need filling out and used another students answers by accident on the wrong form..I can correct this and tbh I hadn't realised I'd done it wrong until the end of the day when I was checking something. Nothing major but an omg 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ what am I doing 😑☹️moment.
Glad it's my day off tomorrow...I'm going to miss my Wednesday's off. I spoke to the tutor I will work with and she's only in 3 days 🤔 so I'm thinking what on earth will I be doing for 37 hours/ 5 days a week 🤔. I guess I will soon find out. She has given me lots of paperwork to look through so I feel prepared which I did appreciate her doing. So I'll do that tomorrow when I'm feeling more with it.

Afternoon all,
another bad night's sleep last night. I went to bed early and then couldn't sleep for ages, instead I was ruminating about the mistake I had made at work, my new job, DS2 popped into my head and then that overtook everything, ugh, I hate when you have one bad thought and then your catastrophising part takes over. Anyway, I did eventually get it to shut up, around half 11 according to the f1tbit which was about right, so that was two hours laid there doing that 🙈.
I got up at 8 this morning but had slept fitfully and was tossing and turning for most of the night so not a great sleep. However I decided to start a list of things to achieve today so I didn't just lay on the sofa feeling self-pity (tempting as that was). So today I've already ticked off lots (some I added as I went along):- start the banking switch
- sort out junk drawer
- respond to herbalist with my blood test results downloaded for her
- order some empty tea-bags (who knew they were a thing!)
- order some mushroom and cacao (as suggested by herbalist for something or other- their aim is to get me off HRT
so I don't question too much and just buy it and take it) - put a wash on
- hoover, clean our bedroom
- mop bathroom
- Gym -3km on treadmill today slowly building up to 5km I hope
- break fast with fruit bowl
- drink electrolytes (coconut water today)
- do my notes from work yesterday as I want to finish on Friday and have nothing hanging over me
- make a cake (pineapple one today I think)
- cook good dinner
and eventually it came to me I hadn't looked in one tiny drawer in his office- and there I found it!! So one job led to the washing being done, bathroom is half cleaned, junk drawer is de-junked, and I found my notes from yesterday and decided i needed to do those today too. 🤔 I may be scatty but when I decide to do one job I get 10 done so I guess I will have the last laugh there eh
I have decided I needed some goals to work towards at the gym, as I go and I am quite aimless with it all (having not really EVER been a regular gym goer) I am listening to a book called atomic habits as I walk which is quite empowering and he's chatting about stacking habits and making new ones stick and having goals etc. I mean we all know these things but sometimes it's good to keep re-hearing them when you just don't do them
so my end goal is to reach 5km walking or jogging - but I won't push the jogging as my knee does keep giving out randomly with no prior notice- and I have decided to move up in increments, so today I went from 2.5km which I do find quite easy to 3km, and again it wasn't too hard but I think this is because I have slowed it down somewhat. I was on 6.2 speed and now I am on 5.8 which is still raising my heart rate (I have little legs I am not very tall) but it isn't putting strain on my knee or ankle or my foot for that matter.
So all is left today is to read a bit - I am enjoying my book, it's the newest Thursday murder club one- and make a cake. And later I will do dinner. But first I am going to get the chores out the way, I will carry hoover up to my room with cleaning stuff and the mop and then work my way down to first floor and do there too. Just a quick clean in each room, I will set a timer of 15 minutes in my room as it's the biggest (and has ensuite) and 10 minutes in every other room. Hopefully then all jobs will be done by 2 / 2:30 and I can relax and do fun stuff like reading and baking. I am making a cake whilst being on the diet btw as I can control the sugar content going in and I seem to get a taste for a choc bar or crisps and can't stop, I have noticed with some banana bread over the last few days I have had one or two small pieces and been satisfied for my sugar fix. I should give the sugar up but with my sleep so bad I am using it as a crutch, I know, but not giving it up yet....
Not a NSD because of all the little spends I had earlier ordering bits the herbalist recommended but not too spendy either really, and I am looking forward to the empty tea bags as I have so much loose tea at home and never know how to use it out and about!

I'm really enjoying the book @daisy_1571 I had to buy book three though first as I thought I'd read it and I hadn't 🤣 so I bought that just after Christmas and read that first and started book four last week. I'm about a quarter of the way through 😁 such easy fun reading.
Well I set my timer three times on the first room I went in (ours) 🤣 I so underestimated that one didn't I. Anyway everything was mopped including ceiling and walls in actual bedroom (especially the beams they get so grubby and I can't reach them) also polished everything and cleaned ensuite. Then hoovered and whilst doing so emptied out under the sink cupboard and I can't quite believe I'm saying this but that's two cluttered spaces I've cleaned and sorted in one day after them both being issues for months! Lots thrown out again like the drawer and also lots rehoused in the right places. I think I moved in and basically emptied out a box under there and it's basically not been sorted properly ever 😬🙈. It's a huge cupboard too, really deep (as deep as the shower cubicle it attaches to next to it) so I've put a box of things in there- things like facial steamer) also some cleaning bits and medication. And that's it! There is even space around it 😱 now to keep it that way (same for the drawer).

I've almost £20 pending on pr0lific now. I picked up DD and she drove me to d^nelm as my curtains and pole were ready for collection. Thankfully DD has a soft top on her car as the pole was blinking huge 🤣🤣 it was stuck out a good four feet all the way home and it was pretty cold in the car with no roof in January 🥶! We dropped those off at home and I got her to drive me to Mr T needed a few bits. Absolutely huge queue and a lady and I discussed whether we should go to self service as only one till open. My thoughts were no. I'm not being paid to do the scanning and I want to ensure these staff members have jobs in the future so my quiet protest - along with a dozen others- was to stand and wait in one queue until they opened two more 😁. Which they did pretty quickly when they realised we weren't going anywhere else. DD got in the wrong lane when we left but I told her not to worry and we went the long way home instead as she'd missed the lane for our turning. Home safe and sound and her driving is much better, I felt safe enough to sing along to the radio today instead of sitting there praying I'll survive 😬🤣 DD commented on this as we got home and I realised she was right 🤣👏🏻.
Okay off to make a little cake and some dinner and that's me settling down for the evening then.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Yaaay for the curtains and a significant improvement in DD’s driving. Your confidence in her will have bolstered her confidence ahead of her test 😊

I've had an awful day at work. Came home and cried and honestly do not know how I will cope with a job that could be possibly more full on than the one I do now. I've not felt so overwhelmed and unsupported since last year as I did today and I honestly thought that was behind me. Wanted to cry several times throughout the day and realised how fragile my resilience is when triggered in the wrong way. So fed up. Still have tomorrow to do before the weekend. ☹️ Not a good day for energy or my MH. ☹️

I'm sorry to hear you've had such a bad day, try and be kind to yourself, some days resilience is easier to come by than others! Tomorrow is another day, I hope it's a little bit better 🤞🏻6

Sending hugs, big squishy, comforting ones x
This job has given you a real beating but it’s almost done now. Try to hold your nerve - you’ve said several times that the team you are going into are nice people, looking forward to you joining and seem supportive. And … if it’s too much and you need to take a complete break for a while, then so be it.KKAs at 15.01.26:

@debtfreewannabe321 you're the maypole everyone is dancing round. That can be exhausting! Please credit yourself with everything you're doing. I know this might sound negative but I think once you've spoken to the optician about DD that will boost your mood no end. Righting wrongs weighs on us before we do it but it feels fab, I find, once ticked off the list. You're doing brilliantly and new job is looming love Humdinger xx5
