My transfer left Chip on 22-Dec and only completed 30-Dec.

I thought Tembo were supposed to back date the interest?
I believe they do although I was transferring to their Easy Access Cash ISA. I checked the transfer I did in May 2025 with them, money left the old provider on 2nd May and transfer in completed on 15th May. Received the backdated interest for May period on 10th June.

When do I start earning interest?

With a Tembo Cash ISA - Easy Access, you start earning interest from the date we receive the funds from your old provider - this is backdated once your transfer is complete.

Any backdated interest will be applied to your account in the next interest payment e.g. if your transfer completed on 2nd September, your interest would be paid on the 8th working day of October.

For Tembo Cash ISA - Fixed Rate, you start earning interest when your funds are allocated.
Back in the summer my easy access transfer was next day.

I have contacted them today but like you state fixed is when it gets allocated so it's taken a week due to Christmas which is annoying!

I now have £1 in my EA ISA
Balance showing zero on the fixed rate on the home screen. The full balance shows when you click in - says "start date pending"
Hoping that means the transfer will complete soon.
I got in just in time..
I was in the same position earlier today but the fixed rate has disappeared from my home screen altogether!

Edit: Now showing the fixed rate with the ISA amount but without interest to date as per other posts. It looks like I have to wait until around 9 January before that is available.

Not sure if it's possible to transfer that to the fixed rate ISA?

My 200ish outstanding credit just finally landed in my regular ISA rather than the fixed one

Same - annoying. I'd like to transfer it over, but it looks like they have paused all transfers and deposits atm.

Same for me too. I think I'll leave it be until April as it's currently earning a whopping 3p per day in interest.

I assume you intend to top this up in April?
My issue is that i intend to open a S&S ISA in April, so this money hanging about in here isn't ideal. Can we defo not transfer it over to the fixed ISA?

On Tembo website it says "the 12-month fixed term will begin within 2 working days of the transfer completing and funds landing in the account.", does their documentation or terms mention if there is a period where you can fund it further until it begins?

    Seems like w
hen you deposit more money "you are not "topping up" your original fixed term. Instead, you are creating a new, separate 12-month fixed term that sits inside the same ISA wrapper."

I wonder if the transfer will be treated as a new deposit? Perhaps check with Tembo.

The only options I could see when seeing if I could move it was as a brand new isa rather than add it to the one I created over xmas

Just noticed in the FAQs of the fixed rate it says "you can make a one-off contribution and the minimum is £500"

So I guess they count the actual transfer as the "one off" :/

Very annoying that there's no way for all the money to sit together
