Golly it's only Tuesday and we're on page 4.
Had a generally good weekend with DB and SIL other than, 5 miles short of their house where we stopped at a garden centre to buy a present, I somehow caught my foot in my handbag while getting out of the car and went splat in the car park. One badly wrenched foot. It is gradually improving and I'm determined to do zumba tomorrow although I may just have to stand still and wriggle.
Discussion with care home and Mum about Christmas Day and we have now finalised our plan; we will go to the church nearest Mum's care home at 10.15; go straight to care home to be with her till lunch then go back to BIL (half an hour away and we'll be staying there from 23rd). So I think that will work best. We/I can visit her on Christmas Eve and probably Boxing Day too, just not eat at the care home.
On the way home from our weekend we did a mega shop at Mr T. I made 3 small flower arrangements for the ladies I work with.
- one load washing done
- got to 'work' earlier than usual as no swim today
- sorted out remaining cards
- Mr N has done lots of tidying, wrapping (including our charity food box) and begun to make the mount for my gatepost snowman.
- put 2 bits of oasis in to soak to do friends funeral flowers tomorrow (which will be added to on Saturday for carol service decorations in church)
- did a small bit of drumming practice. I've been very remiss since the last lesson which is disappointing as I was looking forward to drumming along to Xmas radio - it's just been too busy.
- went to church group.
- sent a Christmas e-note to 17 of Mum's friends as she isn't motivated to write cards this year.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -

Morning all,
My list for today
Phone the dentist for an emergency appointment
Attend uni (poster presentation assessment today)
Go to emergency dentist appointment
Finish writing the special cards
Check through the festive shopping list
Check that all deliveries have arrived, chase up anything that is missing
Take DD to the stables so she can check on and feed her pony
Go to the Christmas concert at the school (DS is taking part in it)
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday.

Morning all.
Hope your visit to the dentist goes ok, MMM x
So far today I have
- washed and dressed
- made my bed
- started the DW which I thought had run last night but hadn't
- WUDUPA the breakfast things
- FUPA clean laundry
- S&S'd bathroom and kitchen
- PUPA all round the house
- removed the big basket flower arrangement from the DR table, with a view to decluttering what's not worth keeping and potting up the ferns and kalanchoe
- given L the dog walker her card and present
- stuck address labels on all the Christmas card envelopes, so they're ready for signing...
...but first, coffee! Anyone joining me?

I'm at teh vol job.
I wrapped 3 xmas gifts during my vertical half hour and was liberal with the curling ribbon and the bows because I have loads and we are talking SABLE here.
I have changed the towels in the co-work space (I found a dropped towel in the leisure centre car park, washed it, dried it and meant to bring it but forgot it) and emptied the bin. Recycling also needs emptying.

I hope your Flycards turn up soon Valli. As previously reported Belovéd has generously given/shared with me his cold, so I'm now snuffling my way through life, dosed up to the eyeballs. I rather fear that it's actually Covid. Not much I can do about that.Have written notes for the dogsitter Wren is going to while we jaunt off across the Channel tomorrow night, reconciled a couple of bank accounts, and am now doing some F'bank work. I really must write some Christmas cards.I have been keeping on top of the vacumming so the carpets look fairly decent for once.Better is good enough.6

Hope your cards turn up soon Valli, they definitely got posted with the rest. I can't understand where they've got to.
And here I was praising the Welsh postal system for being better than the Kent one..
Cleaned out three drawers of the freezer ready for the Christmas bits to go in there.
Put away our ordinary mugs and got the Christmas mugs out. All washed, dried and on the mug trees ✅
Now sitting down listening to Christmas tunes on the radio with a cuppa and being squashed by two rather heavy dogs 😉Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

I don't doubt they've been posted. I think the last time I got post was last Thursday...definitely not had any since Friday. Still no post. Next door neighbours haven't had any either.Natty68 said:Hope your cards turn up soon Valli, they definitely got posted with the rest. I can't understand where they've got to.

Present wrapping continuing; I am continuing to generously apply ribbons and bows
Sack of rabbit food bought from merchants. Rabbits fed and put to bed. Compost stuff taken out too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Not a lot of flying over the past couple of days. We certainly have underestimated the disruption caused by having the landing, stairs and hall done, not helped by having to take the space all back to basics to start with.
Flying today has been limited to running wm x 1 and updating tomorrow’s Mr M order, the last one before the looming day next week. Not quite sure what I was thinking back in November when I decided not to have a delivery next week, but hey ho, we won’t starve. Nearly all the presents are wrapped, just a couple of awkward shapes to do. Again, what isn’t there will have to stay not there. Decidedly bah humbug right now, mainly due to the disruption I’m sure.
It is blowing an absolute hoolie here and freezing with it. I am very glad that we are all staying in this evening. I have a veggie sausage casserole to cook, then I’m looking forward to an early night after a couple of restless ones.
Stay safe and warm if you are out and about this evening.7
