I had to laugh at this idea Fayolle 😁 We've unpacked ours now and they are now propped up behind the settee till the new year when my nephew can put them on the brackets.Fayolle said:Natty, I also have a big radiator sitting in its packaging. It must be the latest trend for a Christmas decoration! I might put fairy lights on it…
You would think that they would fit in the old brackets but nooooooo. Just found out we got a bigger size instead of the ones I ordered, but we did only get charged for the ones I ordered. Think they did a replacement due to being out of stock of original one.
Anyway got to put new brackets on the wall then hook the on.
But you'll never guess what....I was fiddling around with the settings on the one by the sofa and it seems that I've fixed it. It is now working how it should be. Typical!!!! The other radiator won't work sadly as it's completely dead..😕
Flying wise - I've packaged up a box of a wrongly ordered item to be collected by the postman shortly.
Bed made
Updated the Christmas food shopping list..
Booted DH out to go into Aber to do some pet food shopping..😉
One wash load.
Folded up dry washing and put away.
Looking forward to an evening to myself as DH is going out for a meal with his 'Men's Shed' group - weirdly they are going to my sister's zoo where she is catering a Christmas meal for them in the cafe.

Kitchen compost bin and various bags of food peelings finally made it to the newly emptied composter after a week of procrastination. Minging bird feeder emptied and taken to bits (wingnut promptly lost) and put into manky bucket to soak because I can't face the stench this morning, and I have More Important things to do. Obviously. When it's a job I want to avoid. As was emptying the rotating composter. So I feel extremely virtuous.Wren is currently sorting through my recycling bin and removing Items of Interest to shred. On my office floor. So that's another job I'll have to do when I've got a moment, because once thoroughly chewed she just leaves the detritus where it lands. *sigh*Belovéd's cold isn't manflu because he hates being ill so much he refuses to surrender to it, but he had an extra lie-in this morning because he's all chesty now. My cold, which he gave me, is clearing up. The fact that he's 10 years older than me is beginning to show up in these things. I just want him to be able to enjoy St Malo on Friday so I'm cossetting him. I hope he doesn't get used to it - I'm only doing it because I couldn't stand the whinging if he felt unwell while we're dans la France. Is every single act of kindness or altruism actually self-centered?Now to wrap the last present that needs to be posted and get it down to the post office.Better is good enough.8

We are still away for our pre-Christmas holibobs. We are staying in a cottage so we are loading the dishwasher and generally keeping tidy but on Friday when we leave the cleaners will come and prep it for next week's guests.
i've been tidying my emails and unsubscribing from some sites. If I need them I can subscribe again and probably get an x% off first order code so it's a win win.
i"ll sort through photos on my iPad and phone over the next couple of weeks.
we recently did our wills and there's a clause about online/digital possessions and that's what prompted me to have a tidy up. Not sure my heirs need a bar code for an am az on return from 2024 🤷♀️

Hi all
Long day at the paid stuff yesterday and back in the office today. I am about to go to my yoga class but I can report that I have managed to do the ironing so the airer is finally cleared and folded away (for now at least).9 -
So far, I've
- PUPA all round
- made my bed
- decluttered some leftover goodies from last night's supper
- emptied the kitchen bins
- opened the post and decluttered used envelopes immediately
- potted up the one sprouting geranium that has survived being stuck in a bucket in the back porch for a month or more, and put it on the kitchen windowsill
- emptied said bucket and put it back outside where it belongs
- done WMx3, part dried in the TD and hung on airers in the bathroom to finish off
- emailed myself photos off my phone that might be used to illustrate our Christmas newsletter (very sparse content this year!?!)
- in doing so, was amazed to find a photo of the order of service for the marriage of a young couple who, with their 4 children, have joined our church congregation, so I have written a card for them and can now put it in the correct (alphabetical by surname) cubbyhole at church
- stroked Rosie and promised that we will go for a walk after lunch
- phoned DH's "lost" mobile so that he could find the darned thing (predictably, it was in the pocket of his dressing gown

)
- gone shopping for more cards at the two (different) hospice shops in the village
- cooked fish pie for tea.
Every little achievement counts!8 -
Hi ladies,
Thanks you Valli for the list. A lot of downstairs was done at the weekend so will just need a refresh but will be picking up bits between the paid stuff which I have to go back to tomorrow.
Yesterday was a full day with the grandchildren so 2 school runs and a day run ragged with a nearly 2 year old, so I didn’t bro much when I got in other than a lazy JP and salad dinner.
Today the plaster has been dry enough to paint so a wash coat was done all over and it dried enough for me to get a top coat in the ceiling and so far I have done 2 of the 4 walls. In between the coats I had an argument with DH who I had asked to go to the wood yard to look for skirting and I got the the I don’t know how to put skirting on. I didn’t ask him to put it on , just go and get it. I was tired my back hurt and I was cross as asking him to do anything is always met with a negative response that I give up asking. So we went together to get that , the top coat paint and another rail for the bathroom. While I have been painting he has fitted the 2 towel rails (only took 6 screws) and has watched podcasts, YouTube or whatever for the rest of the afternoon. I’m now cooking dinner and will then return to finish as much painting as I can while he sits on his arris no doubt.Flying - does scrubbing my painted hands twice count?Mortgage, paid off!8 -
Not done much but have spent some quality time with DS and we went to M&S and bumped into lots of people - it's lovely to have the time to stop and natter!
Another bank statement reconciled - I'm almost up-to-date.
Was hoping to come home to Flylady cards ... but no post at all.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
