Hi Julicorn, still on 0 for this year, including April, May and June. We have opted for some home improvements, car repairs, etc., instead. We are not planning any 'big' stuff for the remainder of the year anymore, so I hope we can start making some headway on OPs in the second half of the year.

#61, reporting £4,735 put in an offset account to be paid on 2 Sept, to avoid incurring overpayment charges. That's the mortgage down to zero

. @julicorn, possible for me to stay on with a new # £20k target. We will continue saving as we are planning to either move to a bigger place or buy another property to let out.

Well done on getting the mortgage down to nothing! Absolutely amazing.

Yes, of course you can! I can either give you a new number if you like to track the savings, or I can just add £20k to your existing target? Whichever you prefer, just let me know.

@julicorn, thanks — this thread has really helped keep us on the straight and narrow.

I think setting a new # will be better. We are aiming for £20k for the rest of the year, with the hope that we can keep up the frugal habits through the remainder of the year - this may not happen. So, will be good to have a target met while the marathon continues. Thank you again for running this thread.
