New Capita-run Civil Service Pension Scheme - problems (what a surprise!)

Well, I feel slightly happier today, because I rang Capita this morning (8.02, and I was 9th in the queue, took another 57 minutes to get to speak to someone) and they have confirmed they have received my request for a quote (my wife and I had applied at the same time in December, she’d had an acknowledgment and I’d heard nothing).
No indication as to when I’m likely to get my quote, and I don’t anticipate it will be through by the time I retire in May, but at least I know they have my request, and that it is going through the system 🙂0 -
There's an interesting new sticker in Civil Service World, Civil Service Pension Scheme: Cat Little explains decision to outsource the sub-headline states, "Cabinet Office update says Capita won contract based on past performance, price and value for money'
What world do these people live in?

It’s almost as if there’s a strictly limited roulette wheel of rubbish outsourcing firms, and every time a contract comes up for renewal, they give the wheel a spin and “Right, it’s your turn again…” 🙄

Re this, do people still think all the ongoing monthly pension payments will be implemented by the end of this month? I’ve been waiting since December 1.

Hope so. I retired 09/01 and am still waiting for my first pension payment, fingers crossed.

yes, fingers crossed 🤞 for all still waiting. I wonder if we will all receive a letter first, or the payment first. I got my lump sum payment first, then the letter a few days later.

partially vested means you've partially retired and taken some but not all of your pension benefits.

When I log in it says i'm partially vested, i'm full time and have no pensions in payment.
I do have a deferred pension from a previous period of employment with the civil service, again this isn't in payment.
Money saving newbie but learning fast:D0 -
Thanks @Dazed_and_C0nfused, @AndyQ211 and @Shabbycat. I'll contact HMRC ant make sure to ask CSP for a schedule, when I eventually get anywhere with being paid.
At least we get communication and answers here in the absence of anything from CSP/Capita.
I'm currently waiting on the phone I started at position 9 33 minutes ago and am still in the same position, so they haven't made any progress in getting the phones answered 🤣!

A little over a week left, something tells me to prepare my model pig for flight to celebrate in case of overpromise and underdelivery .
