I am really not. My friend, who is the trained florist, has been running a wreath-making workshop for several years and to be honest, this is the first year I have been happy. Maybe ten years of making one to get to what seems to be year 2 or 3 for most people. I know the theory though...Makingabobor2 said:Wreath is beautiful @Suffolk_lass. I would be very proud if I'd made that @Suffolk_lass! Lovely mix of colours and textures. Thanks for sharing. I've got as far as the wire for mine.

Today I'm wearing sprout earrings (I'm 100% in the love them camp) and in the evening will be going to a Christmas concert so will be singing carols to myself for the rest of the week at least.8

Ooh, that sounds very festive @LotsOfTea 😊 And @Suffolk_lass that wreath is beautiful!
Not sure I'll make a wreath, but I might make a table decoration. Not til I've finished work though.
Full of cold today, a tiresome evening and a rough night. Very much want to stay in bed but unfortunately I have an important deadline tomorrow so I am dosing up on cold & flu tablets and will soldier on (fortunately working from home) until the work is done. I'd like to say this will teach me to get things finished more ahead of time, but past evidence suggests it won't! 🤭
Anyway, candlelit yoga done regardless - fortunately a short 17 mij video today, and restoration lying around rather than vigorous bending and stretching 😊 a nice transition between bed and desk 😊😊 That's 9 days in a row now, really pleased and it's starting to really feel like a habit I look forward to and make time for (rather than just think I 'should' do).
Not sure what's in the jewellery drawer today although quite frankly I'm not sure I'll even bother today, I feel so rotten!6 -
SL that wreath is beautiful - well done you! I've just remembered to order wire so I can make mine, as the bits are now out of the loft!
Oh Cheery you do sound rough - well done for doing the yoga regardless although a good thing it was a restorative one!
Started with decorations last night - the long string round the kitchen/living room divide, the bits on the mantlepiece in the front room, on the chest of drawers in the hallway and the lights round the mirror in the hallway (an ancient Land of Pounds set from probably about 10 years ago - purple glass globes - which by some miracle are still going strong! The bay window needs to wait until the sill is painted, and the front of the house needs to wait for dry weather! Tree on sunday, I think!
Today I'm wearing a pretty silver necklace that I love but very rarely wear. Nail varnish is still clinging on (just) but I might take it off this evening and perhaps pop on a different colour?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ooh, shimmery eyeshadow is a lovely idea! 😊
My nail varnish is looking quite worse for wear - I might switch to something more sparkly when I feel a bit better. I've got a dark blue that I've coated with a silver glittery topping before, and done the same with red varnish and gold glitter. Or maybe I don't need to feel better - sitting quietly in front of a film painting my nails is a pretty low energy activity after all, and a nice excuse to sit still! 😂8 -
I bought a Pisces necklace in Brighton today. We went out for lunch and I went into a perfume shop after but I didn’t really like any of the fragrances there. I’m out tonight for dinner so will wear my new necklace.😊 I found a new journal for 2026 in a charity shop too.7

A nice excuse to STAY still as well - otherwise you'll smudge it!Cheery_Daff said:Ooh, shimmery eyeshadow is a lovely idea! 😊

Dark blue with silver sparkle is a lovely combination! Mine this time are a bright but slightly orangey red with a subtle gold shimmer over the top - which really makes them catch the light!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
