It wasn’t expensive, just a little gold disc with a Pisces symbol from a place called Orelia.🙂daisy_1571 said:Oooh, Wednesday, whats your Pisces necklace like? (Fellow piscean here)
I did want to get an Aquamarine necklace too, but will just look online or in a local place when I get home.6 -

Nooo! It's a degreaser, not a lubricant. If you use it on hinges repeatedly, they get squeaky and stiff - you need some 3-in-one oil! For dry joints like door locks (or the slide on a chemical toilet in a campervan [Ugh]) you need a can of silicone spray, used sparinglyPennysIntoPounds said:

It probably just tasted so vile you didn't realise you were ill...PennysIntoPounds said:Cover your ears @KajiKita, @beanielou gargle with TCP, it fended mine right off. Also zinc and vitamin C
Though fortunately I rarely do anything practical so not to worry 😁3 -
That is so lovely and calming, well done youSuffolk_lass said:I finished off my wreath and hung it. As requested @Cherryfudge, here is a photo. A couple of last minute sprigs of eucalyptus added for a nice smell

Today's jewellery is a gorgeous chunky silver and pearl bracelet. It was most cheering admiring it while I typed6

Yesterday I made cinnamon buns & cupcakes with Xmas sprinkles on - treated the boys to ones from the bakery the other day and it cost me over £5 for 2 items so this is much more mse.
today I dug out the Xmas pjs so will pop those on later snuggle up with a hot chocolate(with cream & marshmellows for added Xmas vibe) and watch a Xmas moviethis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk7 -
Ooo cinammon buns - so festive and homemade means MSE too.
today I chose a bright orangey jumper, a bright flowery scarf and red and orange earrings. I haven't worn the earrings for 3 or 4 years so it was nice to see them again. I think I'm paying homage to my favourite seasonal fruit, the humble satsuma.I also put on make-up and perfume.
the daily advent calendar candles are being lit every night.10 -

Beautiful wreath @Suffolk_lass. I've saved that hazelnut cake recipe, @KajiKita - looks yum! 😋 Cracking lights at the railway, @EssexHebridean!
Work is crazy this week, so I'm not feeling very festive. I did put in a bright orangey-red jumper this morning (my trousers I'm wearing have a very thin orange-red line running through the material) but it was too big (I guess that's a good thing - I bought it a year ago and it was semi-snug) so swapped it out for a bright pink one. Have snowflake socks on, too.
Other than that, I've done most of the Xmas quiz at work and eaten a lot of chocolate...
