Afternoon all. One washload done and dried indoors. Out this morning with DH and we met DDs 1 & 2 for a walk and coffee. Lovely bright day but chilly. Cleaned the bathroom and toilet when I got back, the sun is lovely but it shows up all the dust etc. Cleaning the bathroom just feels like moving the dust around sometimes.Hope everyone's OK x6

Not only are dogs more appreciative than the house Ionafan - as you say they give licks and cuddles all the time, while the house just sits there looking scruffy. Much as I love the house, the dog is far, far more rewarding.El Tee: Wren would like to send everyone a lick, a tail wag and has offered a share of her rice bone that she's been trying to deal with all day. I keep seeing her trotting by with it sticking out of her mouth, looking for a place to bury it. In actual fact, what she has done today for the very first time in two and a half years is actually tell me when she needed to go out for a pee. This is HUGE progress. Although it may have been that she wanted to go out to place her bone very carefully on a plant pot. I think she thinks that counts as burying it. The slugs agree. I get it straight back in.I've vacuumed the top and middle layers, baked Twinks, made Nigella's Clementine cake, chocolate pots and a batch of the Preppy Kitchen's Best, richest brownies ever. I needed basil for the TikTok pasta thing tonight and the C0-0p had whoopsied parsnips so we've now got some boxes of that to go in to the freezer. It's soup weather. My feet hurt!Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.8

Hello everyone
a bit of a change of plan today when I saw the glorious bright sunshine. The bedlinen has been washed and nearly dried outside. It's on the heated airer now to finish off. The bed has been made with lovely fresh bedlinen.
I've dusted and then wet wiped every slat of the kitchen blinds. Changed the batteries in the fairy lights that go round one of the windows and cleaned the big, fancy light bulbs that are above the other window. The light bulbs are those oversized ones where you can see the filaments and they look much better now they are sparkly clean.
cleaned the cooker hood and splash back so they are shiny too. I'll need sunglasses at this rate!9 -
Evening. I've had a lovely day. Before going out I did do dailies and dog walk, and sorted out a kitchen cupboard. Family are here between work shifts tomorrow so not sure what I'll achieve.Spend less now, work less later.7

Evening all
Shades of Dixon of Dock Green there, for those who are Of The Age 😳
Welcome to Blackcats. Fantastic progress, puts me to shame.
I too was distracted by the sunny, cold day. I did change the bedding this morning and it dried outside. Well I brought it in and it felt damp but when it warmed up indoors, it was dry. Bedroom duly dusted, but vacuuming it was one step too far. The allotment called….
Came back with lots of produce, which now needs a meal plan. Also got lots of tidying up done at the allotment which gave me a work out as well as fresh air.
DD has been having a turn out in the spare (craft) room, so tomorrow 2 bags are going to the cs, as well as the box of glasses that DH already has in the back of the car. The house should be breathing a sigh of relief but it is just a dent in the Stuff.
A couple of Christmas presents ordered, so there’s a plan that’s finally coming together.
Natty, I’ve pm’d you, hon x6 -
I pad bak on…so i’m posting while I warmup in bed. I am shattered.

Welcome to newbies.
Decided to reluctantly scrap this morning's swimming as I was going to 'work' and thought I'd wear myself out. Glad I went, although I was indeed very tired by the time I got home.
One load through DW.
One load washing done (loaded and hung out by Mr N, brought indoors by me so a team effort).
Wrote more cards.
Finished another glove, so that's another pair ready to go once I've sewn the seam.
Reviewed money in various places.
Booked some tickets for a tango show locally for January (Vincent, for those old Strictly followers).
Mr N kindly went to Mr L on his way home from photography club.
We've been through the Big Give charities to sort out family Xmas gifts; it starts next week.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.7 -
Morning all, It's a sunny but cold start here today
My list for today
Do the required uni work
Take unwanted items to the local auction house to see about selling
Get advent calendars whilst in town
Hand kids old sweatshirts into school so others can use them
Do freelance work that is in the diary for today
Go to doc appointment
Check banking and update DDs
Clean laptop
Cobweb removal downstairs
Wipe down the front of the kitchen cupboards
Fill DW and switch it on
Clean the clutter from the top of the drawers in master bedroom
Sort out the kitchen cupboard for storing festive food and update the festive shopping list with items already got.
Add 10 items to V account
Take DD to the stables so she can feed and check on her pony
Give the kids cash so they can get Christmas party tickets from school
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday.

Morning all
Brrrrrr, thick frost on the cars this morning. DH has half heartedly gone to the market, DD has gone to big town, dropping off 2 huge bags to the cs if they will accept them. I scraped her car, he had to scrape his own! My good nature only stretches so far….🤣.
So far I have set the dw to run, wm x 1 has just finished and cleaned the ensuite. We are off out to lunch with DSis and BiL today, so I have a target end time in sight.
Our village post office is closing “temporarily” from the weekend, so I have to get all cards etc sorted by then. The nearest one will be a 5 mile round trip by car (and very little parking in that village) as the 3 buses a day aren’t going to be much help. With the rural maximum fare applying even for that distance, that’s £6 to get there and back. Otherwise it’s a 30 mile round trip to small town. Not sure how some people are going to manage but there will be no choice and it will become the norm no doubt. Luckily DD sold 5 items last night on V!nt£d so those will be hot footed to our PO today.
Right, washing to sort, then I might have to reacquaint myself with the Dy$on.5 -
Morning All,
Woke up with neck pain this morning to add to the back pain so on an even slower day today.
I remembered to put the bins out last night so they were collected this morning.
I've unloaded and reloaded the DW.
Yesterday I defluffed and dedusted as much as I could under the TD lint catcher. I'd brought a cheap gadget off a well known, popular Chinese website which I hoped would help me with this but of course it wouldn't fit on my hoover so that was a waste of money. I ended up using a duster around the handle of a wooden spoon until I remembered I had one of those microfiber, bobbly dusters on a stick so I tried that. To be honest the wooden spoon was better.
I'm in the process of trying to get limescale off the cat water fountain after g00gling to find ideas how to do it.
A lad has just turned up from the TV channels and Internet provider to fit a box for faster Internet or something ( I'm not up on all this stuff
) why do they have to bang on the door instead of using the knocker? Scared the carp out of me! This has coincidence with my back saying its coffee time so I shall start again after he's gone and my coffee has been drunk.
