Pollybear it was me asking about the plugs lol, I'm still interested if they have a good fit.
The new ones I brought for the kitchen sink and the bath both leak so need to find some good ones.
Today I had my Grandson but thankfully DD2 came over and played with him and took him to visit my parents as I physically couldn't do it. Roll on Friday when I see the doctor.
She discovered lots of tiny spiders in one of my kitchen windows today. No idea where they've suddenly come from but as there were a few near the basket I keep my clean dishcloths, cleaning cloths and dusters in I've put them all in the wash with a couple of towels and they're no in the TD.
I've also loaded the DW and I'm put that on in a bit.
TBH I can't wait to go to bed, I feel shattered eventhough I've not done anything.

Can I join in please?
I'm trying to be more systematic in running the house and garden and rather than thinking about doing stuff I'd like to get on and do it.
today I flitted about from room to room but tomorrow I will focus on the kitchen.
today I cleared out the accumulated clutter in and under the coffee table and have given it a good polish. Washing is all folded and put away. Coats and shoes tidied away from the hall. I did lots of emails etc for life admin.
look out kitchen here I come 🥳9 -
Welcome Blackcats. Morning all.
Wordle in two!
I don't think I'll get a lot done today as I'm having a spa day.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all. 👋
Paid stuff for me today so I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, changed Joey's seed and water, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in three, only managed two lines on Connections, and I'm supping a brew.
Thanks to the Flylady posivibes I got most of my list ticked off at the weekend despite BD's best efforts.
To Do This Week:
Give plants TLC
Clean sink
Retape car bumper
Flylady Christmas cards
I wonder how long it will take me to start my car this morning. 🤔. DB gave me tips. And at least I'm mentally prepared this morning. 🎵 I put my armour on 🎵
Have a good day.

Whose dog? Flown where? Why is the dog being flown? Does the dog mind?Honey_Bear said:The dog is being flown at 2.00pm in the north of the city so I need to remember to set out in good time for that. *sets alarm*
HB I am a bear of very little brain. And I'm flummoxed. Please put me out of my misery and explain. Pretty please.
RxxThe dog is Wren. She is an absolutely beautiful golden cocker spaniel, an ex-breeding girly (MSE won't let me use the actual word), a pedigree but without papers because the breeders don't supply them when they get rid of the dogs. We adopted her about two and a half years ago. She's quite highly strung but absolutely fine with us and as long as I'm about, or she's in the car she's happy. She also, fortunately, loves being bathed by the groomer, who is wonderful.Because we adopt older, traumatised dogs we need to be very careful about how we manage their first couple of years with us so I don't groom them very much while they're settling in, as that's quite an intimate thing to do and can be quite challenging for them if it's people who don't know what they're doing. I started a bit too early with her and she stopped sitting next to me on the sofa in the evenings as a result. She has very, very fine fur so it gets matted very easily and quickly, particularly around the areas where the harness and collar cause friction, and on her trousers because they get wet and dirty in the Devon weather and they are really fluffy.Every three months I take her up to the north of the city to see lovely Karen and she takes in a bedraggled, slightly matted dog and three hours later sends out a beautiful dog that could win a dog show if she had the right temprement, which she absolutely does not. She's very frightened of people she doesn't know, and reacts badly to loud noises.Over the past year we've been cutting out dags as soon as we feel them forming, and I've finally found a detangling brush that Wren's happy to let me use on her that doesn't pull her hair or scratch her skin painfully. So, yesterday the dog was subjected to personal flying by a professional dog groomer who I like enormously and my dogs have always trusted. Wren is now fast asleep beside me, totally relaxed and happy. She smells gorgeous, which considering she had a skin condition that caused her a lot of upset and now doesn't seems like a great outcome. The dog gets more attention than the house!Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.11 -
Morning all, it's a cold but sunny start to the day.
My list for today
Catch up with admin (2 calls to make and an email to answer)
Do the required uni work
Do freelance work that is in the diary for today
Bring the bins back in, as I never did this yesterday after they were emptied
Check banking and update DDs
Clean laptop
Wipe down the front of the kitchen cupboards
Fill DW and switch it on
Sort out the kitchen cupboard for storing festive food and update the festive shopping list with items already got.
Hoover downstairs (esp living room as DD has started on festive crafts and has little bits of wool across the floor)
Hand kids old sweatshirts into school so others can use them
Add 10 items to V account
Take DD to the stables so she can feed and check on her pony
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday.9 -
Morning all
Yesterday's lunch with the gardening volunteers went really well, I'm glad I said yes 😄
When I drew up my long, rambling, fly-when-I-can list, I'd forgotten I had today free, hurrah!
DW & WM are doing their thing and as it''s a lovely dry but chilly day, I'm aiming for 3 more loads, some line drying & finish in TD.
As to the rest of the day, I'll be doing the kitchen, a bit of general tidying, FUPA, PUPA and we're clearing some more of the triffids (it's not ivy, it's triffids) which have taken over the bottom corner of the garden.
HB I think you should ask Wren to send out some virtual sweet smelling snuggles. She sounds gorgeous 🐾

Morning all
Well it's turning into a VERY busy week, so flying is 'bare minimum'. Sunday dinner filled the DW 3.5 times (and I hand washed some!) so the kitchen is grim.
Popped into work early doors to admit people for a room booking.
I have washing on the line.
Builder coming tomorrow to (hopefully) identify cause of damp patch that has appeared in DD's bedroom. Well at least I have the funds to pay him.
Going to the xmas tree festival here later. (And just emailed the website to correct a spelling on that page - insert roll eyes smily) and then out for lunch.
i pad has died - won't switch on even with power cord inserted.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Morning,
Just doing odd bits and pieces today.
Been having problems with my mobile, saying no sim, no service. So with advice from my friend I've been able to fix that, touch wood.
Put away all the cupboard stuff that was delivered from Mr T yesterday.
DW unloaded and reloaded, not on yet
TD unloaded and cleaning cloths etc put away. Note to self don't wash new dusters with light coloured cloths, now everything has a yellow tone including new tea towels
Another load of washing done and on the airer / in the TD
I decided to have a tidy and sort of my underwear drawer as things just tend to get rammed into it. I can't believe the amount of socks I have
I really hope I don't get any new ones for Christmas.
While sorting through the drawer I found 2 £10 notes! Goodness knows how long they've been in there or why. The only person I hid money from was the ex husband and that was a long time ago.
I've also sorted a bit of paperwork, a quick hoover round the front room and kitchen. Also sorted bits for dinner. I'm now having a coffee and resting my back before I try to start again.

But of course! They give you direct feedback, i.e. love: a tidy house only gives you satisfaction.Honey_Bear said:The dog gets more attention than the house!
