Parking Eye PCN - Gale St

It's on a parade of shops, with the car park situated behind.
They don't have a keypad and I've just checked their website - couldn't see any mention of parking.
I don't think it's a case of PEye not being up to date. The opticians clearly know there is an issue as the driver was advised to move their car.
How would I find out who the landowner or agent is other than contacting the Land Registry?0 -

Now adding a photo of the signage

So, if it was an appointment at Care Optics, 527A Gale Street Dagenham RM9 4TR , its not listed on the sign so no chance of registering or I doubt that you can obtain a landowner cancellation. All those businesses require registration at a terminal inside the business
Effectively, the driver was trespassing, no parking contract on offer apart from 30 minutes as a very short stay1 -
All they had to do was pop into the hairdressers, talk about pricing as a potential customer then ask to input their VRM, as the conversation took 5 minutes.
That's what I'd have done. Not that I'd have driven into a ParkingEye Car Park off street. But we regulars know about these scams and we appreciate many drivers don't.
How quickly did the driver move the car? Immediately once told to do so?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The driver was taking their 6 year old to an urgent appointment to administer eye drops. There was no time to walk around the parade of shops and they couldn't risk being late in case this impacted the treatment. As it turned out the 6 year old became distressed and the procedure had to be abandoned. Once they calmed down the parking situation was explained and the car was movedCoupon-mad said:All they had to do was pop into the hairdressers, talk about pricing as a potential customer then ask to input their VRM, as the conversation took 5 minutes.

Best to ignore it then. There is no appeal worth trying and defending a court claim is soooo much easier than any appeal stage anyway.
Read the NEWBIES thread posts 4 and 2 in that order because those are your stages.
Please DON'T show us the tedious debt demands. That's why they are already in pictures in post 4 of the NEWBIES thread; to stop people posting them & panicking on thread after thread.

Ok. I'll re-read it. I thought Gr1pr was suggesting defending a court claim wouldn't work but your post is much clearerCoupon-mad said:Best to ignore it then. There is no appeal worth trying and defending a court claim is soooo much easier than any appeal stage anyway.

I've read post 4 and clicked the link within that. That post has a comment from you as follows:Coupon-mad said:Best to ignore it then. There is no appeal worth trying and defending a court claim is soooo much easier than any appeal stage anyway.

1. - if your PPC is a litigious one like ParkingEye or Excel, then you should not ignore the PPC (ignore DRP though).
I'm dealing with a ParkingEye ticket, so if I shouldn't actually ignore them (?) What do I have to do instead please?

I only suggested that the 2 appeal stages would not work, especially the appeal to Parking Eye, but you could try one or both of them, just dont expect to win at appeal stages. Nobody here expects you to win either appeal, but it took all the questions in order to arrive at the conclusionsLiffey1 said:

At no point did I mention any court claim outcome, that is entirely a different ball game with other aspects in play, hence why I never mentioned any court claim strategy. It's currently not on the table
You asked if it was plan B, I replied stating that court is plan D
I also outlined that there was no parking offered to drivers visiting other businesses, so possibly no contract on offer, so possibly trespassing
My replies are to make you realise that the driver should not have parked there and there was no chance of entering, completing the mission and leaving within the short 30 minutes, leading to an automatic invoice for £100 in the post
So as coupon mad stated, those of us in the know would have avoided parking there, prevention is easier than cure2
