Thanks for the anniversary wishes ❤️ It has indeed flown by!

@South_coast I had a look at the plan, but couldn't find a "T" anywhere 🤔, however, I did find a filled out form by the seller that said what we thought, left side is ours, right side is the neighbours, we also have a back wall which was unknown but I've spoken to the couple that live there and they are a couple around our age and very easy going, we discussed that if anything needing doing we would split the bill. Therefore, right side neighbour can shush his noise 🤣

It's been a busy couple of days with cleaning jobs which is good but tiring. I do have tomorrow off, woohoo! DH has gone away for his annual karate weekend, so it's just me and the dogs. This afternoon, I started digging a border a long the new fence, so I'm hoping the weather will be ok to carry on with that. I've got a couple of plants I've been gifted to pop in there and then I'm going to plan my pond! I know the location but not sure what shape and size to do it. Will have a look into that tomorrow. 🙂

Wait, doesn’t everyone do that?! I always save wrapping paper to reuse, along with gift bags. I haven’t bought gift wrap for 10 years. I also take the front off of Xmas cards, stick them on a blank base and reuse. Again, can’t remember when I last bought Xmas cards… maybe 15 years ago?!

It's been a nice weekend. I finished digging the border along the new fence, added some compost and have planted the 3x gifted plants. I do need to paint the fence at some point though. Will have a look at fence paint cost today.

I have two 2hr cleaning jobs today. DH is off recovering from his karate weekend so we've had crumpets for breakfast. The one this morning is in the next village so I'm hoping he might offer to take me and pick me up when I'm finished 🤞

I found some DVDs in the shed left from the last owner so have put those on music magpie, not quite hit the £5 minimum but i have a few books and DVDs myself that I could do with getting rid of. I then need to get on with some surveys as I'm getting close to cashing out on a few.

Have a look at World of Books for the DVDs as well, they have a minimum 10 items or £5.00, so handy if you've got more lower-value bits

Thursday already! Time seems to be flying by, so I have started to think about the C word! I won't be buying much on my side, just my parents and then money to my nephews. My brother and me decided a few years ago that we were just buying for the sake of it, so dont do it anymore, my grandad doesn't need anything and just likes a bit of chocolate. DH's side are different though and in my opinion go a bit ott for Christmas, it makes me a bit uncomfortable, so I'm just going to leave him to it. I am quite happy not to receive anything because I dont want the stress of getting them something in return! Funds were always limited in our house growing up, so the focus was very much on the family spending time together eating, chatting and playing bingo with my nan's coppers as the stakes, not on huge piles of presents!

All is going well work wise and I'm very happy in my day to day. I would just like to earn a little more so I can make regular op's to this pesky mortgage!

Purchased my first C word present and will get it wrapped up at the weekend. It is for my mum, so I'll just get her a little something else to go with it and that's her done. Unfortunately, the new MS meds have not worked for her and the specialist confirmed this yesterday. She did say she felt the carpet more on her feet, so we were hoping it would continue to improve but sadly not. She's going to finish the tablets as she's paid for them so might as well. At least she gave it a go and hopefully with the improvements scientists keep making, something else might come along soon 🤞

I have a cleaning job this morning and then one this afternoon, so I'm going to get some washing done and out on the line in between. I'm pleased with my earnings so far this month and things are going in the right direction. I have a meal out with old work friends tomorrow which I'm really looking forward to 🙂

Meal with friends yesterday was lovely and a few drinks were consumed! I paid a bit extra towards the meal as when I left old workplace they bought me a lovely leaving present and card, they both then left the company a few weeks after me, so this was my leaving present to them.

Today I have been cleaning for my grandad. I finished off cleaning out the cupboard from last time and I found another load of photos but then also 2x bags and a box full of tea towels, 78 in total! My nan used to buy a tea towel from wherever she went, but never used them it seems! I took a few I liked and my mum and auntie are going to look through the rest, what is left over will then be taken to the charity shop. My nan was bonkers 🤣

I was given a cabbage from a customer this week, so I fried that in butter with an onion and then a bit of water to soften. Severed with a homemade toad in the hole and some gravy 😋 We have some.of the cabbage left over which will be bubble and squeak for tea 🙂

Toad in the hole looks yummy Jessy! I have a few unused tea towels from my Nan's stash - I bring them out as the existing ones get downgraded from tea towel status.
