Definitely be worthwhile investing in a good iron then otherwise you'll be fighting it and end up with sore elbow after a few hours every week. And a solid wide ironing board so you physically move the item around less

Adding in ironing sounds like a great idea, as long as you have a way to transport it to and from your clients? Plus, you can then use the excuse that you don't iron your own clothes because you have your fill of it for work 😅!

Good idea to add ironing. I thought of doing something like this for making some money, I'm not the best at ironing though so didn't go much further than a fleeting thought 🤣.

Only thought re ironing Jessy, would be fur issues - only because I know I couldn’t offer it! 😂 But suspect your dogs’ fur might not be as floaty as the very fine cat fur here. Otherwise it sounds like a great way to make some extra money, especially if it’s existing clients.

Thanks for the comments guys x

Daisy, agreed. I'm looking at steam irons as they should make the job easier. We do already have a decent ironing board which DH does his Karate gi on and he says it's good for that, so I should be alright with that for the time being 🙂

SC, as I don't drive, I was going to put they have to drop off and collect themselves unless over the age of 65 or something like that and that has to be in the village.

DFW, thanks. I don't know if I'm any good at ironing either to be honest 🤣 Might have to watch some youtube vids to learn how to do certain things well!

TMV, I think it would be alright re the dogs hair. I already do someone's washing and it comes home in a bag, goes straight in the garage where the washing machine is, is washed, dried and then put back in the bag and in a cupboard until I take it back, so it doesn't really go anywhere near the dogs or where they spend a lot of time. I'm thinking I would use my office/the dining room to do it in where the dogs dont spend a lot of time 🤔 Will give this some more thought.

Beanie, cake is on its way! 🤣

I've been mortgage free once, so let's do it again!

Ooooh sympathy jessy, I got tangled in my handbag strap last summer and instead of exiting the car passenger side on my feet as I usually do, i flew out and landed, like you, on the grass verge of a lay by. I sat a moment trying to work out what had happened whilst enjoying the soft tickles at the small of my back by fronds of grass. Ehhhh, not grass, NOT GRASS !!! Stung right across lower back from jeans waistband almost up to bra in a symmetrical arc. Very arty to look at, very painful to be inside! Much sympathy for all your bruising and painfulness
