M&S Data Breach Compensation

I received a text asking if I want to start a claim via. jointheclaim.co.uk
I’m never sure about getting stung for charges with these firms if the claim fails so obviously a bit nervous about doing it.

What exactly are you looking to claim compensation for?

Do you have a financial product with M&S?  Do you feel you have been financially disadvantaged because of something they did or did not do?  Do you have a valid claim for compensation?
If the answer to any of these is "no" then delete and ignore.  Even if the answer is "yes", be extremely suspicious of random text messages - and definitely don't click any links contained within them.  If you have a valid claim against a company, contact them directly.

My M&S account was wiped and after a lot of hassle I had to open a new account as a new customer using a different email address. I also lost some money vouchers which were given. They said there was nothing I could do about that. It was just a lot of hassle really also having to get another Sparks card.

Thanks to anyone replying with help but I could do without a sarcastic response. Thank you.

Have you tried raising a formal complaint with M&S?

No point in using (and paying) a claims management company to do something that you can do yourself.

I didn't read any sarcasm into any of the replies.  They all appear to be helpful.

My reply was both sarcastic and unhelpful.

    I've deleted it.

I’ve not done anything. It was just the text that made me aware of a possible claim but I don’t think I can be bothered with the hassle. I’m 76 with MS and shortly having a knee replacement so I think I’ve got enough to worry about!

Still waiting to hear about a diesel emissions claim which is taking forever and the firm dealing with it will take a big chunk if there is any pay out.

    Thanks anyway.
