31.25% April 2026 Price Increase from O2

My contract ends in august 2026. What happens to the remaining handset cost if I say to O2 i want to leave my contract now? Would they ask me to pay the remaining £96 so I can leave? Not affordable in one lump sum but seems unfair I have to be stuck in the contract with the price rises coming in april.0

The only reason I'm staying with O2 are my daughters Apple watch with cellular - unfortunately only big four operators have this ability0

I've been a very loyal O2 customer for 15+ years and if I'm honest, the only thing keeping me with them is the double up on data as I'm also a virgin media customer. But I'm seriously considering moving to a provider that piggybacks the O2 network as where I work and where I live gets a good signal from them.SPC 0370

Martin Lewis was on GMB this morning berating O2 and OFCOM - claims that what he was campaigning for ,was not what OFCOM introduced !!0

I just called O2 after seeing Martin on GMB .
I'm on a sim only deal with them but I have Virgin media as well so tied in with the Volt bundle.
I had just renegotiated my sim price down to £16 a month in July so was really disappointed to get the new price rise email.
I've managed to renegotiate and am now paying £13.99 until April. Will still have the £2.50 rise in April but can renegotiate then .0

I moved to O2 because it is the only major provider that includes EU roaming. Fear i may have to stick with them for that reason. Does anyone have other suggestions?0

Whichever provider you move to it’s essential that they have good security. Bear in mind all the websites, banks and building societies included, which use your mobile number for OTPs. If a criminal can steal your mobile number they can do a lot of damage in a short time. As a minimum you need to set a PIN that you need to give to them when you call them and use passkeys when you log on.oldernonethewiser said:The percentage increase from O2 is why I left. Went for one of the MSE Lebara deals.
Lebara has none of that. Only the most basic level of security. Their customers are very vulnerable to SIM swap fraud as a result.

I won’t be changing to another deal. The VM volt discounts and the O2 roaming are enough to keep me contented for now0

            Hi
I've been with O2 for 15 years approx and my nice small monthly bill is now nearly £20.
I'm going to move as O2 coverage in our town is now non existent, after an upgrade 🤷♀️
Love the data roaming abroad but I could halve my monthly bill at least, so not worth staying. I have 10 months of contract left.
Do I need to call O2 with my intentions of leaving or can I just switch to another provider?0
