- Hi Potters! I hope you've had a very good Friday and will all enjoy a very good weekend!
- I hope you're all well and not low in spirits, whatever the reason. Meanwhile, however you're feeling, do get well soon. For now, love and virtual hugs from us all here at SPC ❤️
Let's hope you soon get very much better JynErso! It'll be wonderful if your son is able to count the money up for you, it'll soon be so much better for your arm. Take great care xxx
Brilliant potting for you too Tattypud! Congratulations to you also! ☺️ Why not save what ever you pot between now and the rest of the year for next year SPC 20? Entirely up to you of course, just a thought. Very many thanks for your kind words. 😃
I think we all become a little like scroodges at declaration time MrsShazbat, though ,natural enough really. It's good to hear that Derek's doing well, he certainly sounds very happy between you all.
Excellent potting madlyn! You've every reason to be pleased with all you've saved potted! A brilliant amount saved, congratulations!! ☺️
Hi Siju, very many thanks for your kind words re T and I, thankfully the nurse practitioner took his BP at our local practice and was horrified and got straight onto the phone to the ESDC (Emergency Same Day Care) part of the local hospital. We had to wait for 4 hours, but looking back was so worth it. He was seen by a brilliant Dr and after checking him over put 1 of his BP pills up to double the dose, and after 2 days of it remaining very high it's now down 152!! Just 12 to go until he's down to the 140!! Such a relief! I'm still waiting to hear about myself.
So awful to hear about your dear FIL. I suppose hospitals always have Sepsis firstly on their minds these days and rightly so in many ways until an x-ray is done to find pneumonia….and to then discharge him 24hrs later is absolutely appalling!! As you say each bout is bound to take its toll on him, the pills are bad enough without COPD and other complaints, they've certainly been through the wringer between them! More so now with your dear MIL, what an amount of time to have been referred and still heard nothing! It's barely any wonder that hospitals so often get bad press these days!! I do hope she soon hears from them and the news isn't too bad!
All very best wishes to them both, to you and hubby also. Take great care all of you xxx
Great savings ThriftyPrincess40 especially given the year you've had. Brilliant uses you've put it all towards too! Excellent work!!! ☺️
£20 transferred to the SPC account
Have a really WONDERFUL WEEKEND dear folks.

It’s exciting seeing the declarations coming in. Very well done evertone.
@Sue-UU This is what all your positive encouragement and care is about now that the actual totals are appearing.Thank you so much as always for running the challenge. Thoughts with you with all the health challenges you and T are having, yet you still come on here regularly to encourage us and care about us.
Everyone has their own stories and challenges but a special mention to @ThriftyPrincess40 for what has been a life changing year. Being able to pot and move forward after how things were is a real credit to you27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 55 -
I'm going to let tomorrow's Plum transfer happen and then I'll declare and wipe the slate clean. My other challenges are mid-way through but it's too complicated to work out what money is what - I do wish Plum would actually direct the money for the different challenges to dedicated pockets but that's probably just me being a picky!
SPCNo.20 #20 (19 £2914.12; 18 £1752.64; 17 £562.86; 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)3 -
And here I am… #20 declaring £2914.12! 😮
I honestly thought I'd forgotten to remove last year's money (because of the challenges still ongoing) but I checked and I did move that money so I'm amazed and gobsmacked at how much I've saved this year because I don't feel like I've done anything different (apart from stopping using a physical pot).
This is a combination of whatever Plum has saved for me along with payouts from Quidco (£23.89) and TopCashback (£60.80). I've used Quidco less this year, as TC tends to have slightly better rates. Haven't done much eBay selling, and I haven't won anything on the lottery! 🙄
Plum saves my 1p and 52-week challenges, it rounds up each transaction to £1, and it saves £5 as a Naughty Rule (when I spend money with Amazon - tbh I could do with more of these for different retailers but you only get to choose one 🤣) along with the automatic amount it saves based on what's in my bank account. Transactions are also super-quick so I've just withdrawn all that money and it's already in my bank account ready to move to my savings account with the slightly better interest rate. I've been with them for 10 years now, and FINALLY got hubby to trust it and join within the last year!

Well done @MrsShazbat
It’s amazing how savings can build isn’t it.
I’m here to declare a remarkably similar total of £2,846.44
I got a big boost from the £1,378 saved in the 52 week envelope challenge. Props to @LittleMissDetermined for running that particular chllenge

I am blown away by the amazing amounts being declared!
I am declaring a little early because I'm worried I'll forget and I grabbed my son on his day off to help me!
So #10 declaring £207.66, less than last year due to not using cash as much but I'm still pleased!
Thanks @Sue-UU for everything you do.
