    Ah yes @siju

I meet up with school friends occasionally, nowhere near often enough, and it’s just wonderful isn’t it!?

It certainly is @AntoMac I've known some of them since infants school and it creates such a special bond. We don't have to meet up often, but when we do we always have such a great time. All our lives are so busy it's sometimes hard to prioritise ourselves but making that effort gives you such a boost.

Potted some small change yesterday 🙂

    What a great total @VickyA_2

I always find it strange how funerals help the grieving process but they do. I hope you will find some comfort in celebrating your dad’s life alongside others who loved him x

    • Hi SPCers! A very good Thursday. I hope you're all had a enjoying a good week, in spite of the very chilly day today.😰
    • I hope you're all well and not low in spirits, whatever the reason. Meanwhile, however you're feeling, do get well soon. For now, love and virtual hugs from us all here at SPC ❤️

I'm so pleased to hear your op is over JynErso. No doubt you'll be able to get your pot open for D Day. Meanwhile, I hope you can very soon recover well done.
Well done with your roadkill Ant, though the utter audacity of your work colleague in getting to that £1 first! 😂 There may be plenty of roadkill around your area but sadly there certainly isn't down here! Not long to go now!

I'm so pleased you really enjoyed yourself with your friends Siju, it makes such a difference. I'm in close contact with 4 of mine.I'll take a couple of those virtual hugs please as T's having such problems with his BP lately. His pills were increased again on Monday, but the upper number still remains at 179 after the Dr told him it definitely needs to come down to 140 especially given he had the TIA just over 2 months ago. It's so very worrying. Our pharmacist has told him if it isn't down by Monday then he really needs to contact the Dr. Apparently it takes between 2 to 6 weeks to work to it's fullest, we sincerely hope it works.

I've also seen 4 Drs in 2 months as  the left side of my neck is swollen. According to the last 2 Drs it's a swollen muscle and runs right from the top to the bottom of the neck. The Dr I saw before the last one asked if there was cancer in my family!! 😢 Several years ago one of my uncles died from stomach cancer! The last Dr said if it was still swollen by this week he'd refer me for a scan, I'm still waiting and hoping, but nothing yet.
Very well done with your £5 plus change you've potted!

I'm pleased you also get to meet up with your school friends Ant, it's such a delight, but as you say not near enough, especially as 3 live at Ringwood and 1 in Dorset, it's such a joy when we all meet up especially as one, T's & my school friend has cancer and has about 8 years to live. Very sad, but 8 yrs isn't too bad! Well done with your potted change.

All best wishes with your father's funeral on Friday, Vicky. I wish you and all your loved ones the very best and heart-felt condolences to you all from the start of the day until the end. God bless you all. ❤️

£2355.81 is a brilliant amount of money potted. Congratulations Vicky!!😂

Enjoy the rest of the week folks.

I am going to declare early as I will probably forget but first thank you very much @Sue-UU for organising this. I may not be a regular poster on here but I have potted my spare change throughout the year. I am also going to carry on for the rest of this year to see where I end up.

    So #14 declaring £214.20 😁

Eek!! Can't believe that not only is it D-day next week BUT I logged in beforehand instead of forgetting!!! Will spend the weekend collecting all my 'pot' money together (cashback, etc) like Scrooge and then I'll be ready!

Derek is doing well. We had a weekend away at the end of our first week with him, and then we were away last week so he was with respite fosterers and their dog, but they sent pictures and it looks like he had a whale of a time (although I believe their dog is enjoying the quiet life again now!) so he's been a bit discombobulated by so many changes in a short space of time. Hopefully now though we should have an uninterrupted few months with him. His training is also going well by all accounts and tomorrow we're meeting our handler with him at our local park to practise some recall and free running with him to see how he gets on and then we'll be able to do that ourselves.

So sorry to hear the problems you and T have been experiencing @Sue-UU 😕 It seems to be a constant round of waiting games with Drs and hospital. My FIL ended up I'm hospital at the beginning of the week and was initially diagnosed with sepsis which then was revised to pneumonia. Unbelievably he was discharged 24 hours later. He's doing OK but obviously each bout is taking it's tool on him. My MIL has had a growth on her neck and was referred to the hospital about 5 weeks ago but still heard nothing.

I hope all went well today @VickyA_2 🙏

Excellent potting to all those who have declared early 👏
