Our lovely leader Sue-UU has asked me to let you all know she's a little under the weather at the moment so will not be popping up in the feed until she is feeling better. She had a lovely weekend away with the family but has returned with a cold which is never good news for someone with COPD. I'm sure we all wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to her inspirational comments as soon as she feels up to it. In the meantime, keep potting and posting and also keep your eyes down and look for a gold dust roadkill find!

I'm adding a few bits of small change and my usual five pounds this week.

Hi all, hope all are well.

Haven't been around for a while, having Duke around keeps us busy although he sleeps most evenings after a busy day at school. He is doing well, although a couple of weeks ago our trainer said she didn't think he was going to pass! We're all still working on him doing certain things but we're getting there, and now they're looking at matching him up with his new person ☺️ We do worry a bit that we're getting stuff wrong but they've been nothing but supportive and are very complimentary about our fostering, which has been a relief!

Potting wise, Plum has saved me £147.74 this month into my virtual pot.

    2p roadkill potted yesterday,

There is literally nothing I can get for 2p but I do love finding roadkill.

Wishing our amazing @Sue-UU all the very best in getting fit and well again

A reminder to anyone out there that this challenge is open to anyone at any time. Whilst anyone can set themselves a target it’s not a competition or anything, I love not knowing my exact total until the end of the challenge, and ending up with effectively an all expenses paid short break over the bridge (Wales).

As Sue always says, thoughts are with anyone who is down, ill or struggling in any way. That would include Sue herself at the moment. I believe that tough times don’t last forever, although it doesn’t always seem like things will get better when we’re in dark places. I’ve had my own struggles which helps remind me that others do as well, and struggles, particularly mental struggles, aren’t always evident and can be hidden from the rest of the World. We are a cross section of society in this group, so likewise will have our personal ups and downs.

@ThriftyPrincess40 Every penny you pot/pay/save is a reminder that you are now fighting back and winning. May you go from strength to strength. It will always be a mystery to me that someone can be so cruel to another. I expect your partner had some kind of childhood trauma as factor. It doesn’t excuse it in any way of course. Far too much of it goes on and happens behind closed doors. Well done again for surviving and starting to flourish once more.

@MrsShazbat Whether or not Duke does eventually pass, please give yourself the credit you deserve for trying and giving him the very best chance. I would guess that you’re doing way better than you think you are. I always respect people who try to do good things, even if they don’t always succeed. It makes the World a kinder place and boy does the World need more kindness at the moment!

Have good days everyone. There’s always something nice out there, even if it sometimes take a bit of finding 😊
