    • Hi SPCers! I hope you've had a brilliant weekend.everyone. 😀
I hope everyone is healthy and not feeling low in spirits. Meanwhile, get well soon, for now, love from us all at SPC ❤️

So very many thanks Ant, your words were so lovely and really touched our hearts. They were our neighbours for 13 years, and became firm friends then and still so now. Sadly, they lost their youngest son 8 years ago due to his 3rd cancer illness and their eldest son (Down's Syndrome) passed away 4 years ago due to DS and dementia, so very tragic indeed. We've lived only 3 miles away from them for the past 26 years, you're right though, we've definitely been blessed. ❤️

We've been to see her 3 times so far, and fingers tightly crossed, she's happily got better and better. Yesterday it was lovely to see her sat up and completing crosswords and sudokus. She was amazing and definitely at her best and we're all thrilled to bits!

    So very many thanks Ant.

Many thanks indeed Vicky. Very well done with your TopCashBack potting! 😀

Happy Friday LMD and brilliant potting!!😅

£20 transferred to our SPC account!

Thank you all, and thoughts with you and your friend @Sue-UU

DH is much better, and will be back at work next week. We had our Guide Dog training today and he managed to walk round the block with the dog and the 2 GD handler/trainers. They brought a gorgeous golden retriever called Cubby, who saw the prepared living room bed and toys, and went and grabbed one straight away 😂 He also took one look at the garden and left us a present 🤣 We get 'our' dog on 31st, and he's called Duke. He's 18 months old and a black lab X retriever. It's a bit daunting going from the freedom of owning your own dog to the quite strict regime Guide Dogs have, understandably. But I'm sure it will become second nature. And we'll have the extended Easter weekend to practise.

In money news, I finally got the Quidco cashback I've been waiting for, for opening a TSB account thru and MSE link last year. It's £22.50 and they've made me wait for it! I mainly use Topcashback now and was going to close my Quidco account, but this has kept me hanging on. My SPC payment this week was £21.20.

Ooh it's been a busy few days. We had some lovely things planned for over the weekend, including going to our local for lunch on Friday, however, just before we left my MIL phoned to say that my FIL had a chest infection and had to go into hospital. So, every day since has been spent doing the 100 mile round trip to the hospital. He's on the mend and we are hopeful he'll be home today or tomorrow 🤞

Potting some change and five pounds this week. 😊

I had a Scottish £20 note to give to a friend who likes Scottish notes. Blooming parking machine wouldn’t read my card so I had to pay with the note.

The machine gave me seventeen pound coins as change and I also picked up a penny roadkill, so that’s £17.01 cash added to the pit

    • Hi Potters! I hope you had a brilluant weekend.everyone. 😀 What a gorgeous few days this week!

Thank you so very much MrsShazbat. It's so good to hear your DH having recovered and you both being trained up in preparation for Duke, a really lovely name. Like you, I've no doubt you'll both become adapted to all it takes to get him to become very well trained for a dear man/lady who's in great need of a friend that can help him/her through life. All the very best to you both.Very well done with your Quidco account, a very nice amount for sure!

Very well done Tattypud, you're doing really well!

    Another brilliant amount LMD!!

Oh your poor FIL, Siju, I'm fortunate in my COPD being mild, but have succumbed to several exacerbations and they're vile. I so empathise with your FIL because they are horrible! Hopefully, he'll be safely home by now. God bless them both.

Well done with your potted £5 plus change!

It sounds as though you're doing brilliantly Dizzycap. It'll be interesting to see exactly how well you've done come October! 😀

Such a shame you needed to use that Scottish £ note your friend would have loved Ant, but you yourself certainly benefitted as a result. Just a question for you? Are you saving so much that you've exchanged your pot for a pit?!! 😂

Enjoy the next few days everyone! I'm sorry I'm a little late but T had to have the cataract lense in his right eye removed on Tuesday. All went well and his vision is so very different today, so clear! He's looking forward to the left one being done in about 6 weeks time!!
