That might be the last time you hear from your personal XTB account manager. Mine was useless. So were XTB.
They made a big mess of my ISA transfer in. I made a complaint. They paid me compensation.
I didn't like the platform and the CS in East Europe were totally useless so I transferred out.
They made a big mess of my ISA transfer out. I made a complaint. They paid me compensation again.
Then when £9 of residual interest landed in my XTB account they refused to send it on to my new ISA provider.
They wanted me to put in a new ISA transfer request.
This is contrary to the ISA rules so I made a third complaint about this and other CS issues. They fully agreed they were at fault but would pay no further compensation as I had taken enough from them!

@charlie12525 It's highly unlikely I'll be troubling my XTB account manager again in relation to my £1 investment, or using their platform for anything else

I have done it today. Deposited £1, but no sign of my free share.

Quick look through t's and c's, and I can see it's limited to the first 2 thousand people, so I may have missed the boat.

    Ignore this.

I've discovered that after depositing the £1 (or possibly before too), you have to go into the app and select that you give consent to receive the free share.

All done now, and free share added immediately.

Thanks, got my free share. Is there a holding time or anything? I keep my shares with Trading212 and want to hold on to my RR share so can I just initiate a portfolio transfer with Trading and get it moved over and XTB closed after as will never use them again?

Clause 4.4 of the XTB offer terms states: The client may keep, sell, or transfer the share once received

Will probably attempt something similar myself

I've opened a GIA account ok and transferred £200 but then realised i'll need to add a little bit more since they don't do fractional shares and you need to invest at least £200.

I'm going to see what MMFs they have.

For anyone else doing this, note the requirement to complete the W8-BEN form before 30/1.

"9. The shares you receive under this Promotion are US incorporated. You must complete and submit a valid W-8BEN form (or other applicable US tax documentation) to IG by 30th January 2026. The W-8BEN form certifies your non-US tax residency status and is required under US tax regulations for you to receive tax treaty benefits. If you do not provide the required documentation by this deadline, we reserve the right to withhold the Welcome Share Bonus from your account and your entitlement to the Promotion shall lapse."
