Has anyone done the Charles Stanley Direct offer on TCB?
Charles Stanley Direct Offers, Discounts & Cashback Deals
Presumably you can receive the bonus for each one you open (SIPP/ISA/GIA), or is it capped at 1 per person?1 -
To me it seems to be difficult to pick out from the T&Cs on TCB what, if any, are the requirements to qualify for the cashback. Obviously one is the need to put £500 in but the other T&Cs are a bit strange (well to me anyway). I don't get what reference to Actions in the 2nd bullet point is about. And what's the 3rd bullet point about account funded transactions being batch uploaded after 6 months....is this indicating you need to hold on to the account for at least 6 months?winkowinko said:Has anyone done the Charles Stanley Direct offer on TCB?

Yes, the t's and c's aren't clear, and also seem to be lacking info on things like the funding window for example.
Just wondered if anyone has had any success. On the face of it, it looks like there's £500 to be made for opening 3 accounts, each with only £500 in.2 -
From the 4th bullet point it would seem that 30 days from opening is the funding window otherwise CS reserve the right to decline commissionswinkowinko said:Yes, the t's and c's aren't clear, and also seem to be lacking info on things like the funding window for example.

Ironically I have done nothing wrong in terms of the t&c, and am more ambivalent about their customer service than some others! But now I'm at two weeks, still no access to funds, no access to investing in their platform and no bonus, so going down the FOS route. I will now sit out the 90 days caveat, and claim compensation for the time I had to remain uninvested (as well as the missing bonus).MeteredOut said:
Can a company telling you they don't want you as a customer because you went directly against their T&Cs and attempted to extract £500 from them really dreadful customer service? Or simply them protecting their position?hgt said:
They did exactly the same with me. To be honest I was just glad to get my original investment back, as they'd held onto it for about 10 days and treated me like a criminal. I like a freebie, but this one was not meant to be in my case. Never experienced such dreadful customer service before.clivep said:
When my £5,000 was returned, my account was blocked and I received an email from Etoro telling me I am excluded from this promotion and from all future promotional offers, any bonuses in my account will be reversed and they will also be closing my account in accordance with their guidelines.soulsaver said:
Update: After a scathing negative on TPilot, it got escalated and I got the '..2-5 days and it will be back in your originating account' mail, this morning.soulsaver said:clivep said:gambleruk said:Just for the record my £5000 has just appeared back in my original account I deposited in, I sent all the documents they requested last Friday and have just sat patiently since, now to figure out how to get the bonus out which is sat there in USD.Hoorah! (of sorts). My £5,000 has arrived back in my NatWest a/c.The $669.59 funds from the bonus shares are sitting in my investment account. My GBP wallet still has access restrictions in place so I can't transfer there. If I try to withdraw from my investment account I get a message to say the request could not be submitted and to contact customer support.
Hi Clive
Great you got your £5k back, now you can relax as everything else gained is a bonus..
Are you on desktop? Is there a 'GBP ac' when you scroll down below the 'Add Funds to GBP' 'Add Funds to USD' 'Create Wallet'?
Is the bonus in there in GBP? Can you 'Send Payment' to your bank?
Does your account actually show 'restricted' anywhere?
Cos' I don't see 'Restricted' anywhere - just w/ds keep getting 'rejected'.
I've done the Bank Statement thing last night,(eta 09/01) not heard owt yet.
Good luck.
Now, 17.30hrs, £5k's back and, like Clive, they've retained the bonus... put in USD and shows $395 or so.
I cant access my ac atm for absolutely accurate info, 'cos I took the opportunity in the expected lull to switch mobile service and my registered number is in transit until sometime tomorrow, fingers crossed. It's probably worth giving them 24 hours to see if there's any further action before I go back to TPilot..
Have you got any further @Clivep ?0 -
So an investment account transfer probably wouldn't work?Shedman said:

Anyone think the IG (in ISA, SIPP or GIA) offer worth a punt? £200 for a "lottery" of free share value min £50 up to £1k, looks like it needs to be kept until the end of March

So can you just open a gia and put £200 in it or is it more complex? I'm not hugely familiar with these sort of shares platformstopyam said:

Sounds too good to be true, or am I missing something? Invest £200 and guaranteed at least a £50 bonus, and possibly more? Of course there's the risk that your investment may lose money, but unless there's a massive crash you're likely to be covered by the bonus.happybagger said:Anyone think the IG (in ISA, SIPP or GIA) offer worth a punt? £200 for a "lottery" of free share value min £50 up to £1k, looks like it needs to be kept until the end of March
