    eToro

Finally took the plunge and managed to set-up, gain the bonus and withdraw all within around 30 minutes (was going slow and taking a few screenshots!).

I used Santander for deposit and withdrawal, always checking that the GBP account was selected. I ticked the Microsoft share and was awarded it within seconds after the verification was complete (no ID needed).

I 'closed' the position immediately, losing nearly a dollar in the process. So managed to bank £495.89 and withdraw it soon after.

Did all of the above via online browser not app.

I did have a quick look at the eToro platform whilst I was there and found it difficult to use. More concerningly, when you sign up, they automatically make your profile publicly visible on the platform unless you deselect that option and when I traded the Microsoft share I got a popup asking me if I wanted to share that info with the community!!
I will close the account later today.

Did you use open banking via the browser to fund the account?

You tick the selected free share during registration, do you have to select it again after funding the account?

    Yes, open banking via browser.

I only ticked Microsoft once during the whole process

I have done the Etoro offer.  Got the free shares and sold them.  Have the money now sitting in my GBP wallet, my account says it is verified and had no notifications or emails wanting further documentation.  Set up the withdrawal bank (same one First Direct I used to fund using Open Banking option) which was matched.  But everytime I try to withdraw the funds I get a failure message about not being able to complete transaction because payment may go over you current account limits (regardless of what amount I try).  Can't get to speak to a human on chat and the response from their open a ticket support just came back with a set of boilerplate stuff that hasn't helped.  Has anyone else had an issue like this and managed to resolve it?

Wish I'd never bothered much as the extra dosh would be nice.

IIRC I had something similar when I tried to withdraw on the app on Friday, but it worked on the desktop (or it was the other way round, I can't remember now.) I can't remember if the message was the same as yours, but one of the versions definitely wouldn't let me withdraw but the other did. You could try that?

Thanks but I've tried both App and Browser....same result.   Very frustrating you can't get hold of an agent to find out what's going on.

Just checking that when you try to withdraw, you have the right currency account selected?

Just jumped on the bandwagon! thank you @pecunianonolet for step by step. I didn't use the app but still worked - £495.82 in my account plus my initial £5000.
