Tried to raise a ticket.  "An error has occurred, please try again"

My account says I am fully verified.

Asked the chatbot to escalate this to a human 15 minutes ago.  Still waiting.

An update on your eToro transaction
    Dear SS,
This is to let you know that your recent transaction from your GBP account has been rejected.

Just tried to raise a formal complaint.  When I click on "send message", it says "An error has occurred, please try again"

So impossible to speak to anyone.  Impossible to make a complaint.  Impossible to get my money back.

Ironically, I am actually looking for a new online investment platform, but once this is resolved I would not touch eToro with a bargepole.

eToro - an appropriate name for a service that is a load of bull.

    eToro

Just catching up on this thread and will apply for eToro shortly.

Is there a reason why everyone is selecting MIcrosoft as the share?
I didn't, I plumped for Tesla given they were rising at the time I set it up. Not that it made a lot of difference, given how short a period they were held for.
Musk wasn't getting any investment from me, however temporary or theoretical  :D
Virtue signalling blagging, it's quite the irony :)
Hence the emoji. Mind you, reckon I still have the moral high ground there...
There were 6 stocks to pick from, if I recall correctly, so replying to happybagger with detail in regard to why you didn't go for one of the particular options, served only one purpose. I opted to call out the palpable daftness of it with a further reply, so I am not beyond reproach myself!
We could probably keep this going all night...  :p

    Apologies, but another eToro query.
I opened an account and funded the GB Wallet with £5,000 - from my Nationwide account.  The money is sitting in the Wallet, but no shares have appeared.  At the start of the process I selected Microsoft shares.  Any ideas?

If I hadn't seen this thread I would just have left the money there for 90 days and then checked for the free shares.  Perhaps I'll just have to do this!

    eToro

Given some of the reported problems above, I'm thinking I will leave it until Monday in case the money gets stuck there for a few days with no-one to contact.
And also the stock market will be closed so will they have to wait until market open before awarding the free share?

I have mostly got this to work. Using a VPN by the way.
    I am fully verified.
I have £5000 in my GBP wallet and having sold my free MSFT shares I have USD 670 in my Investment account.
I would like to move the USD 670 into my GBP wallet so I can withdraw the lot but I get an error message when I choose "move funds".
    Any tips please?
Sounds like you withdrew to the USD wallet instead of the GBP wallet. There is a drop down on the pop up window where you initate the sale and it shows the proceeds. No idea about moving between wallets but if it works you would be bound to eToro exchange rates. Have you tried to withdraw directly from the USD wallet to your bank account and let your bank do the conversion? You could try with 10 USD and see if that works and what happens and if successfull do the rest?
I closed out to the USD wallet and there was a prominent option to transfer between wallets when I went into it.
I also funded through the wallet tab, to address a concern raised above. There was a minute or so delay before the progress bar caught up and recognised my deposit where I was sweating though.
I think I used this option but it still displayed USD, so I withdrew the bonus from USD wallet.  GBP £5000.07 arrived to FD immediately, but the USD bonus didn't.  Is it because of different currency and I should expect it to arrive later? When I typed my bank account details my SWIFT number appeared automatically and it looked like transaction is confirmed. Balance shows zero in both wallets.
