The Cashback for Bank or Investment Accounts Discussion Thread
What is this?
This is a list of cashback offers that might be of interest to MSE forum users, focusing on:
- Savings accounts including ISAs; other bank accounts may be included too
- Investments including pensions, but note there’s already a related thread on the Pensions board
- Offers you can get in addition to bank switching bonuses, but it won’t be a list of bank switches, which are covered on a main MSE page and discussed on the Budgeting & bank accounts board
The associated cashback "No Chat" thread is here for those who just want the announcements.
What do you mean by cashback?
Money that you receive to sign up or open an account either directly from a financial institution, or via a cashback site as described by MSE here.
You can get paid to join these sites and there are free membership options; check if there’s an offer to sign up to TopCashback (TCB from now on) or Quidco via MSE.
What’s not included on this list?
What do I do if I see an offer?
If you notice an offer that isn't already listed, or see one that’s been withdrawn, then post a message on this thread and/or on the “No Chat” thread. Alternatively you could start a separate thread if you prefer.
Could I lose money by doing an offer?
With savings, bear in mind that you could earn less through cashback than with a higher interest rate elsewhere.
With investments, bear in mind:
- You could lose money both on the investment and through fees
- If you have to invest, try to choose a product like an exchange-traded fund (ETF) rather than an individual stock
- If you’re just doing an offer for cashback, open a stocks and shares ISA (S&S ISA) or general investment account (GIAs) rather than a self-invested personal pension (SIPP)
Things to note
Always read the terms and conditions—it won’t be possible to summarise them all in this post and there will be mistakes.
Please note an entry in this list does not equal an endorsement.
In case you were unaware, this board also hosts discussion threads for Easy Access and Regular Savers which complement this thread.
And without further ado

No, just click on the link and apply. Cahoot/Santander is good at matching your details to an existing online banking profile if you have one. Mine tracked with TCB not very long after I opened the account and it's visible and funded in Cahoot's online banking.Rheumatoid said:
