There will be no hearing.
We promise this will be discontinued and this (now, just before discontinuance) is literally the most daft and TERRIBLE TIME to pay.
If we are wrong - and we are not - do you not realise that she could pay £50 or £60 next week to make it go away when DCB Legal start desperately phoning.
Don't pay anything but I'm just saying: NOBODY PAYS NOW.
She could even pay the week/day before the hearing if we are wrong. But I say again: we aren't wrong.
Trust us.
Do nothing.
Take no time off work.
Don't let her take the DCB Legal calls. We cannot recommend she answers because she'll get scared. Block them.
Sorry to say, and from one woman to another: this is getting a bit silly and I can't quite understand why we are talking about anyone paying £300 instead of taking a breath, believing us, twiddling your thumbs and calmly awaiting the inevitable Discontinuance, like everyone else here with a Smart claim.
You could not ask for an easier one.

@Coupon-mad - re: "the DCB Legal calls" - why are these firms allowed to call when they're in following the court process, which is a legal process? They should, imo, be required to only contact D's in writing.

Because parties are required to make efforts to settle cases. So they can phone.
