I have paid  my credit cards with MBNA, Halifax and Barclaycard  using my Santander debit card. When I click on transactions in my Santander app it classifies all the payments as purchases.

For example Barclaycard under Transaction details; Purchase - Domestic at Northampton.

When I paid my water bill to Thames Water Transactions details: Card payment to Thames.

So I feel confident anything classified as a purchase then is fine but will discount Thames as showing only as a Card payment.

Only 13 transactions to go now.

I have just made a card payment to a YBS saving account. Described as a purchase by Santander on the app.

Does this £100 offer send you to the Vouchersent Form to complete first, regardless of whether you go via MSE, TCB or Quidco?  If so, what details do they actually need?
Reading previous comments I am wondering whether to avoid the TCB palaver and forego the £20 cashback if it might create problems later on ie. with Santander saying the giftcard can't be combined with any other offer or cashback, whilst TCB say that it can actually be combined in this instance.
If the voucher offer is primarily with Santander, do their t&c's 'trump' TCB's?

With regard to the 'banana/carrot/ comments - not everybody is able to go to shops to physically do this, whether they are local or not. Please bear this in mind :)

I've just done a £5 settle up request from my Starling account to my new Santander account plus bought a £5 Amazon gift card.

The Amazon gift card is showing as a purchase but the settle up payment is showing as Google pay, as I selected that rather than debit card & having to enter the long card details...

Would the Google pay transaction still be classed as a purchase or should I do it again but select debit card option rather then the Google pay option?

Answer to your first quesion is "yes".

In answer to your second question, all they actually need is your name and email and acceptance of the terms and conditions. You can see for yourself just by clicking in the offer on TCB or the link below.

    https://rewards.vouchersent.com/FOD/Reward/Registration?key=CE9C049E-17C3-45C9-90B0-5E0E584C6AE8&sskey=a738519bf1cd4b92b231dc3e96efefb2&oconsent=1&gad_source=7&dclid=CL3ipPWI1JADFaQsBgAd8f07jg

And as far as your final question is concerned, I wouldn't worry about that because Santander has subsequently rewritten the terms and conditions (what they wrote originally was obviously an oversight). They've revised point 8 to say:

    8. This promotion cannot be combined with any other Gift Card, Cashback offer, or promotion code and may not be redeemed for cash. If this is used alongside another Cashback offer or promotion code, you will not be eligible for the Gift Card. An exception applies to Quidco Limited and TopCashback Group, where both cashback and the voucher will be eligible, provided all applicable terms and conditions are met.

I made 3 £1 top ups to my Octopus account before getting stopped by Santander to ask if it's really me. Made 2 more but they are pending so I don't know what sort of transaction they will be. This method worked for TSB when they wanted card payments. Fingers crossed it will work for octopus 😁
