Hello,
I received a email/text yesterday from my phone provider "3" telling me that the 3G network will be closed on 27th Nov.
I currently use a Samsung Galaxy M13, which l think is 4g ready???
But I'm not sure about the Sim card in the phone.
When l go on setting, there is no available 4G just 2G, 3G, and LTE/3G/2G, which it's currently set at
.
So do l need a new 4G sim or phone or both???
I'm not very technical and this is my only phone.
Thanks.

LTE is 4G and will still work when 3G is turned off. Also, the M13 supports VoLTE so you'll be fine.2

The only possible snag is the SIM. If it’s ancient, say, over 8–10 years old, it might be a 3G-only SIM that can’t register properly on 4G networks.1

Ask Three? They should provide a 4G SIM if yours does not support. I suspect of the phone offers LTE as an option you should be good.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. At 4 years old I'm sure it will be 4G enabled, but definitely wise to check!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards.
