    Hello,
I received  a email/text yesterday from my phone provider "3" telling me that the 3G network will be closed on 27th Nov.

I currently  use a Samsung Galaxy M13, which l think is 4g ready???
But I'm not sure about the Sim card in the phone.
When l go on setting, there is no available 4G just 2G, 3G, and  LTE/3G/2G, which it's currently set at
    .
So do l need a new 4G sim or phone or both???

I'm not very technical and this is my only phone.

    Thanks.
    4G is LTE

does the phone stuill  work for data and calls ?

Since this is a money saving forum I think it's worth pointing out that 2g will still be around for a few more years. This could be acceptable to people that make little to no use of data.
    Three never had 2G coverage.

And whilst it's true 2G won't be switched off, it's being reserved for emergency calls and machine to machine use.

So customers are being gradually migrated away from 2G, if they haven't already. For example, it's no longer possible to roam (incoming) onto 2G on O2
