Sainsbury’s credit card transfer to NatWest

I'm about ready to cry with this transfer

I am now on my *3rd* attempt at requesting a manual code to register after I updated my phone number in an RBS branch yesterday and nobody thought to say it would knock out the registration process if I tried it within 72 hours of a number change. It shouldn't be this hard. Genuinely considering BTing just to get away from NatWest.0 -
I was told that the old link from my HSBC account to pay the Natwest Nectar CC would work until November.
Tonight I have discovered that this is not the case, as it has stopped working.
So now I am back to square one not being able to pay it.1 -
Finally some good news....the Nectar CC has appeared on the HSBC drop down list. 🎉🎉🎉🎉Allusernamesaretaken said:I was told that the old link from my HSBC account to pay the Natwest Nectar CC would work until November.

Thank you for that update. That is so frustrating as I have been panicking all week about paying my card by the due date. The only way I could find to do this was to open a current account with NatWest, transfer into that from HSBC and then transfer to the credit card. If only I had waited one more day ☹️0

Well 4 weeks after the transfer from Sainsburys to NatWest and my details are still not on all the systems and I am unable to register with NatWest online banking. After another lengthy phone call with them I am assured that I should be able to register tomorrow lunchtime after confirming my ID with a photo etc. The part that has transferred ok, is taking the direct debit from my bank account. :-)0

Last month I paid the bill to Sainsburys so this is the first time I have tried to pay NatWest via my online banking at Nationwide. I'm getting nowhere. I've been on to Nationwide, who tell me they've had endless customers with similar issues. I've spoken to NatWest via messenger and been given totally different account details and name to pay into from those given on the statement, but those details don't work either. I'm at my wit's end. Help! I just want to pay off the bill and cancel the card. Life's too short for this kind of thingEllie

Have you tried setting up online access with Natwest using your credit card?Ellie2758 said:Last month I paid the bill to Sainsburys so this is the first time I have tried to pay NatWest via my online banking at Nationwide. I tried to set up online transfer to CC via Santander - no joy, but Halifax worked (sent a £1 first).
But I did get a statement through the post, which surprised me as S'bury had stopped doing that. Attached to the statement was the good old giro slip to fill in, write a cheque and present through a bank.0 -
Remind me, does the bank branch have to be of the bank that the cheque is drawn on?MarzipanCrumble said:I tried to set up online transfer to CC via Santander - no joy, but Halifax worked (sent a £1 first).

No - as far as I am aware can pay at any bank's branch, poss even a Post Office. However it is years since I have paid via the giro slip - I have DD set up, which works well and means I can forget about it.
If I was paying I would pay in via a NatWest branch. But I live in a city.0
