I'm new here, so I have a couple of questions.
#1 ~ Is there somewhere to get to know more about the posters on this thread? Ages, location, family, etc. I'm mostly just curious where everyone is from. I hope this question doesn't sound like someone on here "phishing".
#2 ~ Today's "mission" is to tackle the bed in the guest room and get it company ready. When company leaves I wash the sheets and remake the bed. It stays that way until the next guests come. That could be quite some time. She asks "how long has it been since the sheets have been washed?" I don't worry about that. Does it matter as long as they were put on clean? They are under the blanket and quilt, so I always assumed they would stay fresh. I could wash them and put them in the closet till I'm expecting guests, but I don't really see the necessity. What are your thoughts. Thank you!
My answers (not claiming to speak on behalf of everyone else):
#1 - I think it's for exactly that reason that most of us on here are pretty careful about what personal details we disclose on the thread. If you stay with our little community for long enough, you will probably get some idea of which part of the country each person lives in. Just occasionally we arrange Flylady group meets which are open to all, or you might get to know someone from your own area well enough to have a coffee with them on territory that is convenient to both of you - but there is absolutely no compunction for any of us to reveal our location or family details. Suffice it to say (in the words of Jonathan Swift, 1738) "I'm as old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth!"
~2 - That's exactly what I do too. If any part of the list (kindly provided in turn by our Flyfriends Natty and Valli) doesn't fit in with your own plan/practice/ethics/preferences you are totally free to ignore it. I can't say that I've ever completed a full week's list without adapting it in some way. Just enjoy the company while you make your home as clean and tidy as you want.

Welcome Dahlia Doll (mum loved dahlias - she always grew a few). Ionafan has answered for me…if you stick around you’ll get clues but we did have an issue with a poster (quite a while ago now) who wasn’t all they claimed to be so we are a bit cautious. plus we have lurkers. Some of whom de lurk from time to time
anyhoo i’ve reset my password so I can read/post in bed!
Worked hard today - washing line dried and done some winter prep jobs while it was fine and warm enough to be outside without a jumper. water butt emptied ready for winter filling. Put some on a dry border and some down the drain so that was a good work out, one watering can at a time. Rabbit hutches cleaned and refilled. Some dusting done in office/guest room (incidentally bed is made but also piled with stuff) and floor cleared (onto bed) and vacuumed.
Sold old Vallimobile…and discovered while allowing purchaser to test drive, that it had automatic headlight AND cruise control! Anyway it’s gone to it’s new home for more than I would have got with we buy any car so happy days.
The in house dietitian are the jelly and blancmange but was not impressed.
And I think i’m all better.
Text from docs…can have the shingles jab. Woot. Still got to have my flu and covid jabs too. Must sort asap.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Back from a lovely few days in Norfolk watching birdies and doing many more times the number of steps I usually manage - but also eating more coffee, cake and cooked breakfasts than usual.
Welcome DahliaDoll and as a hint, it took me just over 2hrs to get home from Norfolk and I'm retired from paid work!
Today has been mainly unpacking from trip away, weather deemed too damp and cold for washing/hanging out.
Did voluntary work. After all my anxiety about the training I delivered last week, the feedback has been good which is a mixed blessing as they have asked me to repeat it at least once more in addition to the one already planned for tomorrow and next week. Sigh. So this evening I've checked that I have enough handouts etc.
Did a bit of drum practice.
Tomorrow is aqua aerobics, vol.work then flu jab followed by zumba.
On the subject of Secret Santa, people may prefer to donate to a charity instead as postage is so costly - the Big Give is at the beginning of December so twice as much goes to charity.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Today I finished bottling the green tomato chutney (total = 10 jars for sale and a bit left over in a cup for us). The house smells sweetly autumnal from all the spices and malt vinegar. I was a bit heavy handed with the ground ginger in the second batch, so I must remember to mark those jars as extra spicy, but it's really tasty!
While DH was at SW, I took Rosie for her walk. Then after lunch I went to Knit & Natter and started to knit a small cat toy. I find I can knit more easily with short, double-pointed needles from a set of four - it's a good thing there are only 24 stitches in a row. I also delivered to the churchwarden two large shopping bags full of things that I'd sorted out previously for raffle prizes or direct sales - gone are a cushion with a fancy cover from Türkiye which was excess to requirements and cluttering up my linen cupboard (as per the list), as well as a Chicken Run design lever arch file in which DH used to keep his already decluttered cross stitch magazines [fer-ling!]. Progress is progress, however small
Tomorrow morning DH has a horse piddle appointment at 9.05am so will have to leave here at about 7.30 to get through the traffic. I need to do some desk jobs first, then I've been invited out for coffee at the vineyard - posh! - by an old friend who I haven't seen for a couple of years. If there's time, I'll make a detour on my way home and go and buy the paint for my bedroom, as the chap who is decorating and doing other jobs for me is coming next week. Memo to self: check what paint I've got in the cupboard under the stairs before I go out
Nearly halfway through October already. Where have the days gone?

Morning all xx
Half past week. Half past month. I'm wondering the same iona 🤔
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, changed Joey's seed and water, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in five, only managed one line in Connections, and I'm supping a brew.
I'll put out the recycling and feed the birds before I set off for the paid stuff.
I had my flu jab at work yesterday so I can tick that off. Three birthdays in the first week of November, I have the cards and one gift bought. I've invited DS and DDil for lunch on Christmas Day.
Car Tax is due at the end of this month and MOT next month. Random thoughts à la Round 🤣
I have a new nickname at work. I'm the O.G. apparently. (Someone had to tell me what it stood for 🤣).
Have a good day.

Morning all,
Yesterday passed, with very little achieved. Haircut decluttered, wmx2 (I swear it is breeding as I can’t seem to get to the end of the pile), HHI, a bit of gh tidying, dw run, Mr M delivered and shopping put away. DD cooked dinner, with minimal mess.We are all at various stages of the cold lurgy thingy. Obviously we all know that DH will have the worst variant…🤔. I am blaming the lurgy for lack of motivation but it isn’t helped by the grey damp weather outside. Who stole pretty blue skied autumn?
Not much of a plan for today as yet. Although I have now remembered that I loaded the wm last night and have forgotten to turn it on. I really ought to do some upstairs flying. And plenty of outside jobs are queuing up. Time is definitely flying past faster than I would like.
HB - both our ferries left 15 minutes early too. I much prefer sailing outside of peak times. I too love a French supermarket!6 -
old goat? office granny? outstanding girl? *puzzled*. though i do know GOAT and FOMO
second washload in while I fester in bed. Going to go to my ‘job’ later…luckily there’s a spare pair if reading glasses in my drawer.
Need to cancel various car stuff too.
Hope everyone has a good day
ETA forgot i’m taking SD shopping later. Cancelled car insurance for old car and informed DVLA of sale.

Morning all, weather is all droopy again and looks like rain so only towels in WM loads today - they'll have to have an extra spin & TD
Dahlia we also have a 'guest room' all clean bedding but piled with stuff in transit from/to other places. Although, thanks to the inspiration & encouragement from the flylady gang, the piles are relatively tidy and there's a visible floor!
Rest of today will be....
Bathroom
✔️Air & remake bed
✔️Open windows a smidge
Exercises
HH on seasonal clothes sorting
I thought of something else earlier but can't remember what it was 🤷♀️
Oh well, coffee it is ☕️
