Got the Docusign documents back today and in it is my sort code and account number. So that seems to be it for Docusign? I just need to wait now for an activation code by post?

This is such a convoluted switching process!
That's all complete for docusign afaik. I think my activation code might be here by tomorrow. Totally one of the hardest switches I've done in the last 6 years Danny. Barclays in 2023 was worse though with the blue rewards issue and Danske in 2024 was difficult with the delays in approving applications.

Yes, I've done both of those, the Danske one was particularly horrendous.

Today I received a letter (from Belfast) containing my account number and sort code, which I already got from Docusign. I received a separate letter (from Dublin!) containing my PIN.

So I still have to receive my debit card and activation code.

I had to phone Danske after hearing nothing for over a week and it took 2 weeks from application to open the account.

Glad your getting there Danny, hopefully debit card will arrive next.

I'm still waiting on online banking activation code but we have had no post in our street from Tuesday (confirmed by a neighbour who waits for the postie every day). I will have completed my switch before I get the code at this rate.

You have a neighbour who waits for the postie and knows that he (the postie) never came down your street???  :open_mouth:

I'm not too bothered about the debit card, as far as I can see there's no requirement to make any debit card purchases for this offer. My direct debits are already being set up on the new account. So I really just need the activation code to cycle through the £1,500, open the regular saver account and cycle £100 through it.

So at least the Docusign ping pong is over and the rest seems straightforward enough.

Yep, the neighbour (in his 80's) is waiting on something urgent arriving but postie is usually at his house by 2pm 😂 He is like one man neighbourhood watch!

Your correct afaik no debit card purchases mentioned in t&cs. Happy days that DD's are being set up for you.
Activation code seems to be the key to the final step but at least they give you 30 days to pay in the £1500.
I think I'll wait until after the switch to open the regular saver and pay in the £100 as the t&cs seem to suggest that to me?

I've now received my debit card and a card reader (which will be added to my Danske and Nationwide card readers collection). You don't need to use this at all if you have the app.

I've received my activation code (or as they call it registration code).

You also need a personal access code (PAC) which you need to call AIB for.

So I have that now. I can log into online banking. You need an authentication code for the first time you log in, which you can get via text message. I've now logged into both online banking and the app and it all seems OK.

You need to open the regular saver within 30 days of opening the current account. Within 30 days of opening the regular saver you need to deposit £100 into it. You don't need to wait for the switch to complete, though you can if you want to.

So you could open the current account, 30 days later cycle through your £1,500 and open the regular saver, then 30 days later deposit your £100 into it. The entire process for the 2 payments needs to be done within 60 days of you opening the current account.

Good stuff! Thought my registration code would have arrived today, but just a letter from AIB confirming switch, which is tomorrow.
Haven't received any card reader but probably won't need it anyway.

If you have the app you don't need it. Mine has gone into the box with my other card readers.

My switch completion date is Monday 27th. I got the letter confirming this too.

Happy days Danny all set up for you then. Postie has been and got letter confirming switch for tomorrow and a statement from AIB with zero balance. Thanks for the advice, I still have no code but have app on phone ready to go.
