Does the calculation show the kWh usage number and what unit cost was applied?tlcgrantham said:Uswitch App showing I earned £5.45 during 5 hours this morning.
There seems to be some doubt as to what rate will be used for those on Eco 7 or TOU type tariffs.
I picked up on this from a comment on one of the FB energy forums and also by having a discussion with the Uswitch chatbot yesterday.
The FB comment and my chatbot discussion suggest that Uswitch system cannot handle Eco 7 / TOU type tariffs when calculating the Power Hours credit values and will use the default base tariff price.
In my case, the Uswitch App shows my tariff name correctly, but DOES NOT recognise that I am on the Economy 7 version of that tariff.
Consequently, as my Economy 7 day rate is higher than the single rate, it would end up costing me more to opt into the Power Hours offer at any times outside of my 7 hour off-peak window (00:30 to 07:30).
I can't yet see the results from my Power Hours session yesterday (which I aborted about 1 1/2 hours in, after picking up on the above possible issue). But once I can see my results, I will be able to establish what rate has been used to calculate the credit.
If my fear is correct, then this could be a wide spread issue for anyone opting into the Power Hours offer on a TOU or Eco 7 tariff.0 -
I'm on Agile with an E7 profile and the tariff they are using for me is Flexible Octopus (with no mention of single rate vs E7). This has worked out really well yesterday as my unit rate was 2-6p. However, when I look at my supposed total cost over the day it's £3.83 for 13.45 kWh, which is more than the flat rate of 24.4p, suggesting E7 is being taken into account (no free electricity calculations available for me yet).lohr500 said:There seems to be some doubt as to what rate will be used for those on Eco 7 or TOU type tariffs.I picked up on this from a comment on one of the FB energy forums and also by having a discussion with the Uswitch chatbot yesterday.

According to Utrack on the Uswitch Appp I used 25.7kwh @ 21.18pkwh, my tariff rate with Fuse, at a cost of £5.45(rounded). This isn’t confirmed yet in the Earn section.lohr500 said:

Thanks both.
I'll check out my credit as soon as it shows on the Uswitch system.
if it has used the correct Eco 7 peak rate cost, then I will enrol on the next Power Hours session and recharge my battery/heat up the water/do the washing/etc at the peak rate, mindful of the overall £25 max!!!0 -
According to my calculations I should have made enough on my free session this afternoon to cover 13 days worth of standing charges on Agile in addition to having a warm house, nice clean bedding and floors ... just waiting to see if Uswitch agree with me!Debt Free Wannabe by 1 December 2027

I'm in a similar position but after looking at the options I picked "my tariff isn't in the list" or whatever the wording is, because it isn't. The rates shown for the tariff name are not the rates I pay, so my tariff isn't there.lohr500 said:

That should mean that my credit will be calculated against my supplier's SVT rate, which is currently higher than my fix's peak rate.
I'll find out when they've calculated it!
The things I used electricity on during my slot needed to be done anyway at some point. Even if they use the single-rate price per unit for my tariff to credit me, each unit will have cost under 3p so I'll still have done far better than waiting till the off-peak times and doing them then.1 -
Hmmm...well apparently USwitch have not been able to get ANY detail of my use yesterday, so I'd guess I'm not getting anything out of them. No logical reason for it - Octopus have full details for the day, and USwitch are showing full detail from both today and Saturday, so I'm afraid all my cynicism is kicking in! Thankfully we didn't do anything yesterday that didn't need doing at some stage, although there was a load of washing which I would probably have held off until tonight and done at a cheaper price, and the dishwasher was run only part full, but not the end of the world, just a bit annoying. Maybe it will correct itself, but if it hasn't then I think I will be getting the meter disconnected from them and asking them to delete all my data - I don't mind them having it if they're going to keep their end of the bargain, but if they're not, they can bog off!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Like you @EssexHebridean , the Uswitch App still shows my Saturday Power Hours session as calculating. And I can also see my Saturday usage in the Uswitch App.
It still shows some of the August "Reduce and Earn" sessions as calculating, so I am not confident I will see the results of Saturday's Power Hours before the next session this weekend.
Until I can see the results, I can't be sure what rate they will use to credit the energy used. If nothing is shown by the end of this week, I'll be opting out.4 -
Same here, nothing showing except updating. If im not getting my freebie i will opt out1
