I have signed up for the sunday 12-5pm session. Why should I opt out of the reduce and earn, does it clash with something on octopus?Spoonie_Turtle said:I'm also on Agile and have managed to opt out of the reduce and earn (which appear to be the equivalent of Savings Sessions) whilst still having the power hour / 5 free hours. You can only be signed up to one demand flexibility service at once - which is the Octopus Savings Sessions equivalent. So people just need to be aware that it automatically opts us in to the Reduce and Earn (which means we can't be signed up for Savings Sessions with Octopus as well), and then make the informed decision about which one they want to be with.akh43 said:

I am on Octopus Agile, also have solar panels and export back to Octopus, no battery. I am signed up to the Octopus saving sessions and free electricity, but earned a grand total of 1p for the past few and 25p overall for free electric as I seem to losing out on the free electric if its sunny due to my solar. Thinking of the sunday 12-5 session, would it be worth me signing up for this?
I've just opted out until I know more about R&E, and if it looks like that might pay better than SS I can then choose to go with it. But I don't want to do anything until I'm in a position to actually decide.

Is it the saving sessions or the free electric or both that Octopus do that clash? To be honest I keep missing the emails about the saving sessions so haven't opted in for 5 out of the last 6 and the free electricity I made only pennies due to my solar panels and not sure it will be worth it on Sunday as just seen the weather looking good at the moment, though I assume any electricity I use above my generated should be free? I didn't opt for the earlier session as not an early bird at the weekend.I have opted out for now until I can make an informed decision as don't want to cause issues.0

I get half price electricity from British Gas Sundays and occasional week day savings can I do both?akh43 said:

Mine's still calculating, but I expect a little over £2, which is better than nothing. It seems my data is only updating once a day.1

Would anyone be able to confirm if peak save in British Gas (offers half price electricity between 11:00-16:00 on Sundays) is classified as a "demand flexibility service"?cdsheldon said:One is only allowed to sign up with one "demand flexibility service" operated by electricity providers. If I opt for Sunday 07:00-12:00 for this offer, what happens to the cost of electricity between Sunday 11:00-12:00? Thank you.0 -
No that's not part of the NESO DFS. But you can avoid any risk of conflicting with other incentives you may have by opting out of Reduce & Earn, which isn't needed to benefit from the Power Hours.HardCoreProgrammer2 said:
