Questions:-
1. Should the Nat West & RBS reg savers still be considered as reg savers once they reach a balance of £5000 and no further regular deposits are made into the accounts ?
2. Should an account that starts off being a regular saver but which has regular deposits suspended still be considered as a regular saver ?0 -
I have 10 ranging interest from 6-8%. Thanks to Nationwide Fairer payment, I use up my PSA every year so I am only funding regular savers above 7% at the moment.1

I think The numbers are questionable.
Is a regular saver a regular saver if you are not paying into it regularly ?0 -

For 2, are you referring to when the bank/building society closes an account to further deposits or when the account holder just chooses to stop funding it? If it's the former I wouldn't include them as a regular saver, if the latter I still would.0 -

I currently have five but have had 10 on the go in the past. I'm recently retired and had decided to phase them out and keep my easily accessible money in an instant access saver. However having shifted it about numerous times due to interest rates dropping I'm thinking of setting myself the task of drip feeding and opening a RS per month. This also gives me an excuse to make numerous spreadsheets!1

With no qualifications to "have" yet defined, I am assuming most of the contributors to the game are saying how many Regular Savers (as categorised by the Bank/BS) they have applied for, that they are still holding, i.e. not yet matured/closed.
As to funding levels .... is it relevant? There may be several reasons why a Regular Saver account is not fully funded, or a holder chooses to miss a month(s), or reaches a maximum holding. It is still a Regular Saver account!
If forumites wish to send amended figures in light of the above, I'm happy to update the league table0 -

Keeping it simple, I currently have 40 Regular savers and just sent off my form for number 41.
I fund all of them to the max except one which has a token £10.
I pay in just over 10K a month to fund them.
A snap shot tells me I have around 63K currently in RS's much of this does not include interest.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.1
