Ok I have now managed to get some golf clubs after not winning loads on Ebay. I have gone for some X18's Callaways which are about 2 - 3 years old. There is 9 clubs and I got them for £145 which is a bargain. I am now looking to spend a max of £200 for 2 woods and a putter. I shall still need a 3 wood but I can always get that later on.

DH has got his full set the hybid being the last he needed so £180 for the lot.

Not played any golf today but did enjoy the golf at Sunningdale with FIL. It was a really nice day out. £9 for 2 pints of beer and a Sprit. £6.50 for a Sandwiches but hey that's life.

Done the lawn still need to water the pots out the front but it might rain in a bit so not too bothered.

Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday

All the above seems perfectly sensible justification for the clubs. Enjoy!

Right time to tally up how much we have spent on the "new" sets of golf clubs as they are going on my mastercard and I haven't sorted online access out for that yet:

    OH
    Set of X20 £105.00
    Ping Putter £50.99
    Hybrid 4 £41.99
    Woods existing ones
    Total £198.97

    Me
    Set of X18 £144.55
    Putter & 2 hybrids £151.19
Hybrid 5 £61.50 (this is brand new)
    Sand wedge £31.00
    Total £389.04

Might need a 3 wood or driver but in all two full sets for just under £600 I think that is justified. My irons are being picked up today from London by DH courrier so should have them tomorrow.

Will try to post of pictures so you can see them.

My sandwedge which I could have used the one with the new set but I know I wont like it. Might sell it back on Ebay.

Off on a course all day then Bodypump from 6 to 7 then my neighbour and I are off to dinner at Ask. Were going to go last Friday but she suggested we changed it to today so we can use the voucher to get a main meal for £1. Nice.

Also managed to get a Teletubby rucksack and 2 talking Teletubbies for £10 off Ebay for my Niece. Now I just need a small present for my Newphew, 1 for my Uncle and my Dad. My whole families birthdays seems to be in July/August.

Finally a picture of my sisters new kitten -sweet isn't it!

    Quick update
Gym was good last night but my body ache today, dinnner at ask with 2 starters, 2 mains, 4 beers came to £35 with voucher which is cheap. A really good night.

Show my neigbour how to use Ebay she just throws stuff away. She has load of collectables she hates so we looked up the prices. Some are pants but if she has a rare one she might make some money.

No more golf clubs bought but I got mine and they are lovely. Trying them out tonight and hopefully the rest will come too.

Need to go into town to sort out my passport photo and pay DH's credit card bill. He owes me for his golf clubs but he has not left me any money to pay Credit card or for me. Typical. Might not bother and do it tomorrow.

3 days to the holidays cannot wait now.

Just wanted to say Hi TG.

I've been lurking on your thread for months and months and months and have to say it is a something i can't wait to read (How sad is that!!!)

Anyway, i just have 1 question?

Will you continue with the Thread when you have cleared your Mortgage off??

Its just you have such an Army of followers and i fear we shall have nothing to look forward too in work time!!!

Danny I am totally flattered you have said that - I think my diary is the biggest waffle on this board 99% unrelated to mortgages. I do like it on this board so I think I shall stick around. DH and I are already talking about redecorating the lounge so who know I might not make MF Christmas. Also tempted to not pay it all off so I have access to the offset loan part which is £86k at 0.75% above base rate. Cheap borrowing.

Played with my new clubs yesterday so desperate to try them I happily played in the rain. The Pings were awsome hit the 19 degree as far as my 3 wood. So so fantastic however the irons take a bit of getting use to. Hit some awful shots with those but I shall not really need the long irons as I have the 25 degree hybrid except it goes further than a 4 iron. Well I better stop now as this is sooo boring for non golfer. All in all the Pings are fantastic and my game will improve by having them. Going out tonight at 6pm so DH can try his and I can have another go. My driver has just turned up but might leave that for now.

Teletubbies also came yesterday. I paid 99p for the rucksack which is as new but the two talking teletubbies are really worn and stained so cannot really give them to my niece. I wish I had not bought them as the postage was £7 but hey ho.

    Crap crap crap :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

just had a call from DH last Ping Hybrid turned up and it is stiff shaft which is no good for me. It is graphite as the listing stated but seller did not say regular or stiff so it is my own fault for not asking. Well it shall have to go back on Ebay unless I can get another shaft in it which I believe is quite expensive.

Driver looks good he says so that should be fine.

Off to play at 6pm hopefull the sun will stay out.
