DH damaged my car when we drove to the golf on Saturday. He clipped a curb on the A3 and I now need a new tyre and wheel. Company is obviously paying for it so glad it is not my own car. I guess it will cost about £400 all in.
Trying to do some work this afternoon but the sun is out and the garden look lovely. Just been to BodyBalance so really should get on with it.
Checked my weight and back down to 83.1 think that is the lowest I have been. Really done going down so this week will be good on the larger challenge.
Also DH for £25 from Quidco and I got £12 so now we have a bit more in the holiday fund again. NiceSave £12k in 25 No 49

Good to hear that you and OH can still find things to enjoy despite the crisis facing his business. Regarding the redundancy, it may be best to just bite the bullet and cut sooner rather than later if the guy hasn't been willing to share up until now. Is there any way your OH could link from Denmark every other day just to chat for say 45mins to cover issues arising with the staff remaining?
This may be best also for making the post redundant if the tasks are reallocated across remaining staff, and no doubt OH would want to be in touch whilst away anyway so little is lost if you formalise the arrangement for Mon, Weds and Fri for scheduled calls?
Just a thought but hope that helps in considering the possibilities.
Meanwhile you're heading for that MFD really quickly thanks to all your hard work, well done.0 -
Thanks Stuart that is really useful advice but the company is really small and quite unusual in as much as DH's Dad works there full time and he is over 80. He could in the past have run it with out the internal sales guy and DH but not now. He is very fit but his hearing is going and it would just be too much stress. The other person there is over 70 and he is the technical specialist for Hydraulics and only works part-time and cannot do internal sales. Then there is the accounts person who does not answer phones eventhough she could do it. She has been there over 10 years so there is not much hope of her changing. However she is also part time. So as you see it is that small. I still haven't asked him what he is going to do but I really must I guess. I think one option would be to shut down for 2 weeks and just give the most important customers a mobile number.
Once they have made the guy redundant they will need someone else part-time to cover when DH is out of the office. Actually DH should be external sales but he hates that role prefers internal sales but employing a sales person has never worked in the past so I am sure it would not work now either. Still must discuss this with DH.
I have decided to stop MB for 3 weeks at least (you can have a holiday from Betfair without loosing your points). I think that is best as there is no football and I am spending too much time on not doing a lot. Will tally up the accounts and then leave it until the football starts again. Might just do Stan James Mobile offer and the Casino one.
Working today must get more appointments and sort my wheels out.

Right another lovely sunny morning and I have an appointment which is great. It is inside a large shopping center but I shall try to restrain myself from shopping afterwords.
Logged into my online bank accounts (use Egg Money) and noticed that I missed DD fee of £16 from Egg. I always pay by DD but this month I noticed that the money had been returned to my account after it had been sent to Egg. I immediately made a 1 off payment. Looking at it I think I might accidentally have canceled the new DD and left the old one there as I got a new card. Anyway I have emailed Egg asking if next month is OK and if they will consider removing the fee. We shall see a bit silly if it is my fault as I will get charged £7 interest this month too.
Got my Tesco credit card resurrected yesterday as I really want two credit cards. Hopefully there will not be any more fraud on it.
Playing golf tonight and doing Body pump tomorrow morning. No alcohol since Saturday so feeling very good. Have had 2 mini Magnums and 4 pieces of dark Hotel Chocolate over the last two days. Otherwise been good eating salads and only having 1 sandwich for lunch plus fruit.:A
Worked out I need 2150 calories a day and each bottle of Sol is 132 calories so if I stick to 8 bottles a week that is still 1/2 days allowance it makes you think doesn't it :eek:Save £12k in 25 No 49

Almost forgot did have a chat about this with DH and he is going to wait so this guy will have to work his 7 weeks notice ending 1 week after we get back. He can afford that and is happy to do this. I just hope he sticks around but they have been told that if he does not work his notice he is not entitled to all his redundancy pay. DH says this month has started better than last month so here is to hoping.Save £12k in 25 No 49

SMLSave I lost loads of weight when I was getting married 5 years ago. Got all the way down to 70 kilo or 11stone. Would love to get down to that again. Just think of that lovely dress you are going to fit into and I am sure that will motivate you to drink less.
I think it help that is it Summer too I love salads we had one with cold chicken (left over from roast) last night and will have lamb chops (no fat) with new potatoes and salad tonight. I must sow some more salad as we are having it every night and I am not sure it will be enough the small row I have.Save £12k in 25 No 49
