Just quick update did not play golf as it rained this morning. Nearly went out but decided not to only for it to clear up and be nice enough. Went to the gym for 45 min instead.
Not done a lot else today apart from MB. Signed up with Betafterbet for a £100 bonus nearly busted out but not so now wagered £510 out of the £800 so not too bad. Might even bust out tonight who knows. French football is what I am on.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Morning,
Just updating on a few things.
Finances are all over the place as I have been using my personal credit card to pay for things until my work one turned up. Will try to get the expenses sorted this week.
I "owe" my mothers savings account £1000 but that is because I have so much money in Match Betting. I have a £1000 in my Neteller account but it costs £5 to withdraw and although you can transfer it to other bookies and Betfair there is no longer any free way of getting it out. Will have to think about that.
Don't think I shall be able to overpay on the offset loan this month due to loosing my wallet and other expenses but hopefully next month. I am starting to worry we won't be mortgage free on the 1st April 2010. I think we will clear the main mortgage but with DH business we shall see.
He is seriously having to consider making the internal sales guy redundant. He is the one who would not cut his hours when the other did. I think if he mentioned it again how serious things are he might reconsider. If he does make him redundant he will work 7 weeks notice and get 7 weeks pay so surely part-time is better than that. He really needs him there when we go on holiday in August as he won't have time to train someone. I think he could get the accounts lady to do more hours so there are lots of option.
Anyway we are getting away from MFW. Got my Airmiles from Tesco typical I had just booked - well there will be more for next time. Who knows if DH won't be able to go on holiday for a while I might just have to go to Denmark on my own.
Last week drinks wise was not perfect, only had 4 lagers but at least 10 glasses of wine so must do better this week.Save £12k in 25 No 49

to read about DH's business and the resulting impact on your MF date, must be very stressful for him:o

Thinking about taking some money out of Denmark to ensure we can clear in time for April 10. Not sure how much maybe £4K or even more just to clear the whole thing. Might de-stress DH and let him take a salary cut. Will have a chat to him about it tonight.
Just had a chat with my bank in Denmark and this is the situation.
If I sell for 51,200kr that will cost me 175kr and net me 50,891kr which is £5930.
That is selling at rate 98.95 it is going up as it was only 97 in March but it has not been up to since 3 months ago. It will cost me 85kr (£10) to get it into my account in the UK.
What do you think? Shall I bite the bullet and do it as it would clear the £4000 offset and reduce our mortgage to £7000 (assuming this month is paid).
Then if we could carry on at £1000 a month we would be mortgage free by Christmas how nice would that be.
Comments please as I am useless with investments etc.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Things are moving very quickly here and some really really good news.
I am still on track to be MFi3 :j:j:j:j
After I spoke to my bank I called my mum to see what she thinks of me taking the money out of Denmark. She said well it is a shame you have to do it but gran would have approved (she left me the money) as you are paying off your mortgage. She then said I have been thinking about how I can help your sister out to improve their house and my money is not earning much interest now.
Her plan is to give me and my sister each 55,000kr just shy of £6500 this year which is all she is allowed under Danish tax law. Then next year she can only give 1 of us 25,000kr and that will be for my sister each year for 2 years. She will note that in her will so I eventually will get more later on to match it up.
She asked if I minded - did I NOT. So I already have £3000 of hers here and I have just asked my Danish bank to transfer the rest. Should be with me in 5 to 6 days and that will reduce our mortgage to wait for it £6500 and no offset loan. :T:T:T:T. Already paid £1000 off the mortage so on the 20th it will be down to £8000.
That will be such a relief and I still have money in Denmark should we need it. Told DH as he is really happy will take the pressure of him and he might be able to drop his wages to help easy the problems at the company. Also he finishes paying for the Bathstore loan this month which is £350 a month.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks guys she is lovely such I shame we live in different countries. I think she was originally just planning to give my sister money due to the tax rules but when she heard how things are here she came up with this. I am quite happy as my sister does need the money more than me and what I have been given is plenty for what I need it for.Save £12k in 25 No 49

What I sometimes do is deposit the money into betfair and then withdraw it straight out. Unless BF have started charging, this avoids any fees.
