Thanks Keeping Motivated that sounds like a plan. I am going to Pilates with my neighbour in a minutes so will ask what she thinks. I can cope with lively pub.

Actually just spent the last 10 minutes crying into my PC as I cannot got to grips with our new email system. I have always had my work emails forwarded to my home PC which has outlook on it. Sadly they will not let me do this anymore so now have to use Outlook via Web Access only. I cannot work out how to share files and calendar, transfer my address book and millions of other things and IT is just not bothered. It is so annoying as I am convienced the web access mode has less features but I might be wrong. I have posted on the techies board and hope they can help.

Hate IT, hate my job today. Sorry to be so negative maybe I will feel better after having been to the gym.

Thank you that is a lovely picture. Yes it did get better and now it is the weekend. Had a great session with the personal trainer and have my full programme to do now. Seeing him again in 3 weeks, only £15 a session which I think is money well spent.

Been trying to get a winner on the Ladbrokes offer today but nothing. Will not loose anything might even make about £10 so not unhappy really and it is fun to watch it when you want 1 of them to win.

Had a chat with DH yesterday and things are not great in the business. They are loosing about £1500 a month and their biggest customer is laying people off. If they go down they cannot continue to trade. Now I should say that DH always see the dark side of things when it comes to his business but his Dad and him are considering asking his 2 employee to go part time. I have no idea about employment law anymore so if any of you work in HR am I right that ACAS can advise him? He is not going to make them redundant he just don't need the accounts and the internal sales posts to be full time.

So if DH is having to work more I think it is only fair that I scrap my dream of having Christmas in South Africa over 3 weeks. I think we shall do 2 weeks in Denmark and then possible 1 week in Spain in Oct/Nov if it is cheap.

If things go really bad with the business I know we will be OK as we will have hardly any mortgage left. Also DH owns the building and they have no debts. Still not nice to have to think this way when they have been trading for almost 20 years. I could always take some money out of Denmark even if it is just to clear the bathroom loan.

TG depends on who's online version you are using; my company uses IAG and the Outlook Web Access (OWA) component is a real pain in the @?? especially for attachments. If you forward the message it seems to send, but doesn't, without any warning! The "native" way of working for us is via a terminal interface, but this means all the information is still on the server not locally. OWA won't synchronise calendar etc on the lap top and it can also mess up calendar appointments too

To access files in my version you need to download them locally then upload them via the file access area not OWA typically.

You have my full sympathy on this one :A

TG, sorry things are not looking rosy for OH's business. However, as you've pointed out, you are in a relatively fortunate position financially so don't despair :A
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Stuart thanks for that, I really need to know it is not just me. Everyone in the office raves about Outlook as they had some rubbish system before whereas I have had Outlook and had the whole thing before but now I have the rubbish version and they the nice one. Manager has agreed I can put a ticket into IT to ask for access when I am in the office. Hopefully that will help but I might come back and ask you more questions if that is OK.

Also thanks to GallyGirl, we are in a much better position than we would have been.

Here we go a new week and I have decided this post it only going to be about positive things. Had a look on online banking after the weekends movings about to do with MB.

    Positive notes: :j
    1. Mortgage is now £12,000 that is exactly 12 months left as I pay off the interest each month.
    2. Bathroom loan is £3000 that is £250 a month to clear that in 1 year.
    3. Total funds in MB is just over £1600 so will leave them there as I am making a good £60-£120 a week by just going Will Hill and Ladbrokes.
    4. Quidco has started to pay out on in resovled claims for untracked items from 2007. I had totally given up on getting that money but DH has now had £45 and I have had £35. Still a good about pending as per normal. Should be a nice few months and top up the holiday account.
    5. Holidays, decided to go to Denmark for 2 weeks in August. To fly over and borrow cars is the cheapest option. Got 320 Airmiles from Tesco so need 944 more to fly for free to Denmark or 544 to only have to pay £50. Nice will leave the rest of the holiday fund to be used for a sunny holiday in the Autumn - poss last mimute deal.
Writting this makes me a lot more positve and I am ready to tackle the week ahead. Had a nice session in the gym yesterday. I left home at 4.30pm did my full new programme which took 50 min and was home at 5.25pm. So cool to have the gym so close. Off to do Bodybalance at 10.30pm then I have an appointment this afternoon.

Take care all hope you have a good week. :T

Did not make the gym yesterday as my appointment was at 11am and not 1pm. Not sure what time I am setting off to Devon today as I need to nail 1 more appointment.

Quidco is continuing to honour all the old tickets for untrackedtransactions now all of DH's and mine will be paid that is another £75 for me and £55 for DH. That is so cool.

DH still not sure what to do about the business but his dad was getting some leaflets from Acas. Might order some mysel actually to make sure they do it. It is depressin and as DH pointed out I might want to go to Denmark for 2 weeks in Summer but he might not be able to. Well I have not considered that but business is usually slow in August so maybe they will be OK. Can't do much about it so will stop worrying about it and leave it to DH.

On a different note heard this quote on the Radio when they were talking about Cats and Dogs.

"The difference between cats and dogs is that dogs have owners and Cats have staff"
