Paid the interest off the mortgage this month £26.20 it was £39.61 last month. How it has come down with the interest rate cuts. Works out at jut over 84p a day. Was £1.28 last month so that is a nice reduction.

Went to see that property for our friends last night. It was quite strange because it was build by the same builders as our as they were quite similar. The hall and cloakroom was like ours but the lounge was slightly longer but ours is a bit wider. Had a the understairs cupboard in the lounge (full size door) rather than us who have it in the kitchen. Anyway our dining room is not huge but it has an arch into the lounge so feels fine. This one had a normal door into it and was a lot smaller. Horrid. The kitchen was a lot smaller than ours and you could not have a diswasher nor a full size fridge freezer. Garden had never been done just lawn and the garage was set in the garden making it quite small.

Upstairs was just like ours before we extended it but they had opted to not have the ensuite in the master bedroom to make it bigger. We took out the 3rd bedroom and definetely the right choice as the master bedroom was still small and the bathroom had no seperate shower which I think is a mistake.

Anyway it was priced at £250k the chap had had it almost from new as a buy to let and it showed. Nothing had been done to it. I am now certain that ours would be worth more than £250k or at least it wont fall below that. I will post the detials of that property if you like.

This going to be more about gyms than Mortgage so look away now if it is too much waffle.

Went for my first session with the personal training. He is very young but quite nice and not ponsy at all which I was worried about. He did a load of test and measurements and wrote it all down. I then had to come up with my goal and where I wanted to get to fitnesswise. It was really nice to think about it and then set some realistic goals. I have gone for loose 5 kilo as that will get my body fat ration down from 31.7% to 27% which is within range. I have agreed to do two classes a week and two gym sessions of 30 min or so. He showed me some strecthing excersises I need to do and next week we are working on the cardio side. I really felt it was good and I did 30 min in the gym afterwards so this week my first week of membership I have done 2 classes and 2 30min sessions in the gym. Might even go tomorrow and BIL is coming over and as you know I don't really like him.

Decided to give it a break with the MB. I make too many mistakes and then I get tempted to play on the casino offers which ends up in me loosing more money. I have taken everything out of Betfair and the bookies so will pay some money off the bathroom loan and give myself a 4 week break. Then I can start again slowly.

So glad it is Friday need to write this weeks sales reports and then I can take it easy. Hope my friend can come around tomorrow as I haven't seen her for ages.

Told the Estate Agent my friends would not like that house and he will keep in touch if anything else comes up.

Right I was going to give MB a 4 weeks break and then this happens. Wiliam Hill is offering a free £25 bet on the first try score in the Rugby today. We have 2 accounts so that is £50 which should make at least £35 how can I say no to that?

MB did not do that well this weekend. I did get a winner on the Ladbrokes horse offer but it only gave me about £18 profit. The William Hill offer made me a measely £15 as one of the free bets did not get match so total waste of time at least it did not cost me anything. Time to take a break I think but still £32 is money too.

A bit hungover this morning as BIL came last night. I had my friend here for lunch and then he came afterwards so I had too much wine. Really should not do that but hey it is the first time since New Year I have had a hangover.

He is a bit obsessed with money and we were talking about mortgages. He has an offset mortgage in South Africa and when he had to buy his ex and his disabled child a house he extended his own mortgage. He was paying 2.75 below base rate but when he got the bigger loan they changed it to 1.75 below base rate. I thought hey that is not that bad - but it is the base is 15%

He has money in the UK and wants to buy a rental property I told him it is not the time to buy now. He seems to think you could pick something up for £50k I told him not down here but I shall check the property guide on Wednesday me thinks.

    Hello and Hi
I'm here and I am fine. Had to go to HQ Tuesday night (after MIL birthday Party) and then IT took my laptop away until yesterday. I got home at 7pm so that is why I have not posted. Nice to know you are checking up on my:rotfl:

Started off the day with sorting my bank account out. I had to transfer some money into Betfair so do some MB last weekend and it is now finally back. I am going to leave £570 in my Nationwide account to bet with and then "borrow" from the current account if a good offer comes in. I have paid off £500 off the bathroom loan so we are down to £3000. Mortgage £13k and it is Friday the 13th Scary that is.

Meetings at HQ went well but they have made some changes to our expenses. We can only claim for a hotel if we have to drive more than 2 hours which I am in the whole fine with. Also we can only claim £3.50 for lunch which is pants. What can you get for that when you like me have to use motorway services. It does not make sense but we shall see. Also they have not paid my second lot of expenses which is so annoying.

Good news is that my area is Cornwall to Kent but thanks to rejigging I have now "lost" Kent. That is actually nice as it is a pain to have to travel on that side of the M25 M20/M26. Quite happy with that.

Today I am going to the gym for Pilates then off to an appointment. Taking my neighbour with me so will have company for the drive. Then I have my personal trainer session at 5pm and then MIL and BIL is down for dinner. We are going out so quite easy.

Well better get on with some work take care.

  • Aaah - all is revealed, glad you are ok.

Thats really grotty of them to cut your expenses like that but well done on 'losing' Kent and the payment off your bathroom (which is lovely by the way)

Hope you have a lovely time with your MIL and BIL.

Yep still here, doing mt MB on the Ladbrokes offer. I usually do £100 a horse but I had £20 left so only did £20 on the last one and offcourse that one won. Still £20SNR to come with a £4 loss on the qualifier so should make a £10 or so.

Will Hill had 3 offers on did not do the cricket as I was out, the Rugby one is not great but I have done the football one on the FA Cup. Got 2 £25 bets SNR with a few £ lost on the qualifier.

Taking DH to his parrents to watch the Rugby, bliss to have 2 hours to myself. Then they are coming back here to eat. Only DH and BIL and I am doing a stew. Need to do the veg still so better get on the with. Still have 1 more horse running in the 3.25 so might wait for the result of that one.

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely sunshine today.
