Here is a picture of the new front fence and gate. Looks a bit bare still but hopefully the plants will spread out a bit more. Should be writting sales reports and not on here but cant get the program to work so good excuse. It was some horrid old bushes before which made it difficult to get in and out of the car.
Update: can't do the salesreports online as system keeps giving me error messages so really fed up with that. Need to do lots of work but cant be asked. However on a positive note just paid off £2K on the mortgage from my savings hopefully that will stop me going mad on the bathrooms and spend money on tat.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Holiday is now booked to Portugal ended up a bit more than I had planned this is what we are paying for the 2 of us:
Flights BA (£40 off using BA Miles + earned 27 airmiles) £229
4 nights in Portugal incl golf £260
1 night at Hotel at Gatwick + parking £143 (will get 7% back from Quidco)
Total £632 for us both and the thing that racked the price up was the hotel at Gatwick as I wanted to stay at the terminal. Will have to take our own drinks for the hotel as I am not paying airport prices.
Got an email from Gonebingo saying first 375 would get £5 if they signed in today. Did not get that but realised I had £5 in there already. Played a few games of bingo and won £27. Could not withdraw under £50 so had to deposit £25 to get it out. That gave me £75 BB to play with which I duely spent on roulette and lost the lot. I could not withdraw them anyway so thats fine. Took my £50 out.
I must really stop looking at these offers as I keep getting tempted to spend my own money. Perhaps I am getting a bit addicted.Save £12k in 25 No 49

I have finally taken the plundge and tried out MB - gost it is scary but I have had a lot of help from the wonderful Tim from the MB board. I shall try to track everything I do on here and maybe it will inspire someone else to have a look but do read everything on the Beginners Guide first and at least a couple of times before you understand it.
Day 1
Decided to use my Nationvide Visa Debit Card as my MB account but I could not transfer money into it so had to do it in cash. Got to the bank only to realise I had forgotton the card - how stupid. Home again get card then all sorted. Signed up to Coral and Betfair via Quidco depositing a total of £75 with a potential cashback of £50 if it pays out. Spend lots of time reading the guide again and Tim helped me out with a few questions.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Right all set to go today have decided to go with the Liverpool Havant game as the odds are good for MB. I know it is all very complex but really it is just about making a bet and then laying a bet for the same outcome so you cannot loose. Let me explain,
I am backing Liverpool to win at 1.01 and I have placed a £25 with Coral for this. Total return if they win £25.25
Then I need to lay the bet with Betfair on the same outcome Liverpool winning but I know act as the bookie taking the risk. So I have bet £25.51 on Liverpool winning odds 1.04 but I am the booking so it is in effect against Liverpool (ss badly explained).
If Liverpool win I get £25.25 back from Coral but loose £26.02 from Betfair so a total loss of £77p. If Liverpool wins it will also give me a 77p loss as it will be the other way around.
Now you might wonder what is the point in that. Well I get a £25 free bet for signing up with Coral so I can make a profit from that one. Unfortunately I did not get immidiately so just asked Customer services for it. Will report back when I know I have got it and explain moreSave £12k in 25 No 49

Right Customer Services have paid my free bet - so quick. Went off the place exactly the same bets again as I had just done and this is what it will look like if Liverpool Wins.
Total amount bet £75 + £25 free bet
Coral £25 + 25p win x 2 = £50.50
Betfair loss £2.02 (edit thanks to Dan29)
Total gain £22.48 plus 2 x £25 if Quidco pays out for both.
Well that is what I think will happen but will have to have a look when the bets are settled. Apparently that is the best way to understand it and with Tim's help I know I haven't done anything wrong.

Well done on taking the plunge into matched betting! Just to point out a slight correction although the end result is the same:
For each of your £25 bets at Coral you will win just 25p as the odds on Liverpool are unusually low; the £25.25 return includes your £25 stake. For the same reason you will lose just £1.02 at Betfair per bet so a total loss of £2.04 at Betfair - and that's all you needed in your Betfair account to place these bets..0 -
Hi TG, just wanted to wish you the best on your journey to be mf. As regards kids, my problem is that I don't know whether to stop or not. I have 3 at the mo and get so much joy from them it is amazing. I am not fooling you into thinking that it is an easy job. I was a manager in a company before having children and have my degree plus other qualifications from university and this is the hardest work by far, but the most rewarding. I have to say if people don't want children that is definitely their choice and I know people have very genuine reasons, but I think using the envioronment debate doesn't wash with me ( yes I know all the stats), the reason is why do we want to protect our environment if it is not for future generations? I just think human life is more important than plant life. Anyway enough of my rambling. BTW really enjoying your diary and hope you make it by the time you are 40. Where there is a will there is a way.Penny xxx

Thanks FZwanab I really like your thinking - the hardest job but the most rewarding. I agree it is up to the individual to have or have not but I find it hard to make the decision.
Update from yesterday the football was great. Fantastic atmosphere at the ground it only seats 20,000 but they do make some noise. The Pompey Fans are very very good but believe me the 6000 Plymouth Fans outsang them. Then their goal when in after 5 min they went nuts. Pompey didnt play very well but in fact rubbish but the ref was with us and we won. To be fair Plymouth should have had a penalty right at the end. Also great for Havant and Waterlooville to get two goals at Anfield, the news filtered through the crowd and many could not believe it me included.Save £12k in 25 No 49

It was really looking forward to checking out my Match Betting results last night when I got back. Obviously Liverpool won so I "lost" the £2.02 in Betfair but I could not get into Coral to check. I looked in my emails and I had a notice so say they had suspended my account to check my ID. Major panic from me so emailed my Guru Tim and he told me just to call them. I have done that and given them my license number so hopefully all is well now. Will have to wait 1 hour before I will know they told me. Really want to place another bet today but will have to read up a bit more to see if there is any more free ones going.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Really fed up my so called verification with Coral failed apparently because they have me down as a man and with no first name. He guy at customer services was really nice and he will try to put it through again. However if it does not work then I will have to send them a scanned copy of my driving license. Problem is I have no scanner.Save £12k in 25 No 49
